First off, sorry if this is in the wrong place.
Anyway, I've lately been looking into scanners for drawings (lead pencil, ink/pen, and coloured pencil) I've asked a few different people and I've been told different things; over whether 600dpi or 1200dpi is better quality for scanning. File size/time to scan is no matter to me (if push did come to shove I could re-size but yeah) People have told me 1200dpi isn't "That much better" but I have nothing to compare it to to see with my own eyes if I believe 1200dpi is better than 600 and worth the money for a more expensive scanner. What are your opinions on the matter?
if you wanna see every single goddamn detail on the paper then go for 1200
I usually scan my drawings at 300 and get awesome resolution, 600 sounds ok to me
Idk the differences in dpi well at all, so I'll just say don't get a HP
I have an Epson Stylus NX430, don't get that either, it burns even the midtones out of any drawings I
scan with it
:/
A word of warning, if it says anything about "smart scanning technology", DO NOT BUY IT.

Why?
I have an HP scanner with a SCSI port. It for some reason has no model but it has a document feeder on top and it's totally fucking rad as Scanner and Camera Wizard works with it without HP's crippled-ass drivers.
