Ukrainian protesters have been able to enter the president's official and residential buildings in Kiev, after they were abandoned by police. They have not gone into the offices themselves - stationing their own guards outside entrances. Police say they support the people. President Viktor Yanukovych's aides say he is in Kharkhiv, close to Russia. The opposition has called for elections before 25 May, not the end of December as envisaged in Friday's peace deal. Continue reading the main story Despite the EU-mediated agreement, thousands of people have remained on the streets of Kiev. As parliament met on Saturday morning, its speaker Volodymyr Rybak resigned, citing ill health. He has been replaced by Oleksandr Turchynov, an ally of jailed opposition leader Yulia Tymoshenko. Vitaly Klitschko, leader of the opposition Udar party, told MPs: "We must, as the people demand, adopt a resolution calling on Yanukovych to immediately resign." Presidential aide Hanna Herman said Mr Yanukovych had travelled to Kharkiv in the east, close to the Russian border, from where he was to give a televised address.
Source: BBC
I hope that this coward resigns.
I'm sorry but your president is in another castle.
President Viktor Yanukovych's aides say he is in Kharkhiv, close to Russia.
Getting ready to run off to Russia when shit hits the fan of course, if he does there's no way he'll be captured and trialed.

Again, I have no idea if any of that is true or not.
Him running to Russia would damage Russians relations with the future of Ukraine, they couldn't follow through with it
Would Russia really care, though?
Would Russia really care, though?
if they didn't care about supporting Assad they're not going to care about supporting Yanukovych
if they didn't care about supporting Assad they're not going to care about supporting Yanukovych
The thing is though is that not supporting Assad leads to more terrorist getting into the Caucus region. It's really fucking strange a gamble. Supporting Assad is more so that they can fucking kill the various islamic fronts that have propped up. It's a matter of convenience, since those Islamic fronts have immigrated from the Caucuses to Syria. If they overthrow Assad, it'll lead to them going due north and Turkey supports them (Guess how they get into the country). Syria is really fucking weird now and there's not even the Free Syrian Army anymore, they're small fries now and have a quarter of their former strength as the Six or so major Islamic fronts have come in.
if they didn't care about supporting Assad they're not going to care about supporting Yanukovych
Syria doesn't have a major border with Russia.
Him running to Russia would damage Russians relations with the future of Ukraine, they couldn't follow through with it
If Russia even takes him in.
Ufff guys im arguing over an argentine forum about this and some assholes keep coming with an argument that says the protest is fascist A guy came with this http://www.globalresearch.ca/ukraine...europe/5366852 And ended off saying that nor US nor the EU have a problem "using fascists" I know from reading here they are a minority but what the fuck? Really?
Syria doesn't have a major border with Russia.
well i mean they've made their support fairly clear and iirc at one point were in serious talks with Yanukovych to intervene, i think if they really cared that much about relations they would've stayed out of it
I hope that this coward resigns.
i'd like to see how you'd respond if a group of neo nazis who've been killing cops threatened to storm your residence. spoilers: you'd run too
