Computer restarts when games are played on my new 780 ti.

Hi there, I've been using my evga gtx 570 SLI for about 1 and half years, and I recently purchased the new EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti Superclocked w/ACX Cooler, and it seems fine. But whenever I run a game, or benchmark engine my computer shuts down and resets. I tried using the valley benchmark that comes with the product, and it shutdown the pc as soon as I launched it. I ran Titanfall, and it was smooth and running fine for a minute then it shut down too.
I've tried many things, I updated the nvidia drivers to the latest version.. I've tried clean installs. I have the psu connecting properly, then I tried using the 2 6 pin to single 8 pin converter. I tried installing the realtek HD audio drivers as I've heard that sometimes fixes this situation. It did not work. I ran a windows update. From what I've seen it's not a temperature problem as the temp stays under 50c on the gpu and doesn't have time go higher than that before the restart.
I don't know what else there is to do. I've been using gtx sli 570's and had no problem until I got the 780 ti.

I'm trying for a clean windows 8.1 install, hoping that'll work, but if you guys have any other suggestions that'll be a whole lot better than formatting.
Thanks, I appreciate the help.
Honestly to me it just sounds like it's broken, if you're upgrading from a 570 it should work fine without you even having to reinstall drivers, but if even a clean install didn't help, that means something's not right.
Get it replaced if you can, then worry about reformatting if the problem persists on the new one.
Oh alright, ive emailed evga tech support about it and the fresh Windows install didnt work. So ill wait and see what tech support says or take any of your suggestions before i go ahead and get it rma'd for replacement.
Sounds to me like the PSU may be at fault. The GTX780 is a huge power hog and a spike in power draw from it under load can cause the PSU to fail to supply adequate power to the rest of the system.
What is your PSU model?
Dunno why i thought i had posted it but guess i forgot. It should be enough as its the hx850w corsair. And I've been using it with sli 570s for almost 2 years now.
Try a different PSU just to be sure.
I'm going to try it on a different computer in the morning, if it doesnt work there I'm getting it RMA'd..
I just really hope the issue doesn't lie on my end for some reason though.
Well apparently the problem lies with me since the card worked fine on my friends computer. Her psu was a 750 and mine 850 so its still confusing as to what might be causing the hard resets.
Try a different PSU..
The wattage doesn't matter, a failing PSU is still a failing PSU.
True that, man. Thanks a lot for the help everyone, it was very useful. I ended up ripping my girlfriends psu out of her system and testing it in mine, and the 780ti worked flawlessly with it. Ran all benchmarks and everything with no crashes. hers was an antec 750w
I went out and got myself the antec 850w modular and set that up, and just finished, and so far so good, no crashes or resets. Faulty psu was the issue it seems. I'll probably get it RMA'd and sell it on craigslist or something.
Thanks everyone!
