Well I just installed SP2 (hence title)
I've tried restarting, so that's off the list.
Any other ideas?
Go To Sound, and Pick the right sound output or whatever.
Should look like something like this:

If that doesn't work, try re-installing your sound drivers.

Already been done, still nothing. Honestly I've checked every common sense thing.
Make sure it's not muted and plugs are not loose.
Install drivers.
Install Windows 7. Vista is shit.

Even better, install DOS, you'll never get any sound problems in that
OP Reinstall audio drivers

Besides being a ram hog by default, It's giving me crappy gaming performance compared to Windows XP and Windows 7.
What does this shit gotta do with sound problems?
OP, did you try everything we suggested?

It's not a fucking RAM hog, it caches your unused memory. 7 does the same thing, so I guess that means 7 is shit too. You'll get a whole frame more in XP, big deal.

Windows 7 manages to do the same job with less RAM, so he sorta has a point.

Exactly, once Win 7 comes out, Vista will be useless. XP too for the most part.
(I keep XP around for older PCs that people just won't let go of because they paid $2,000+ when it was new)
