Alright, so Im building another PC for a friend, and I wanted to know what was thought about it. Im almost certain its got enough power, I also checked a power supply calculator and it said 554W, so I went ahead with 620, and it has the right rails to power every everything. all thats missing is keyboard/mouse,monitor, and OS, which is easy enough :P 2x 4GB DDR2 240pin RAM, works with Mobo 1 EVGA Nvidia GeForce 9800Gt Cooler Master Strom Scout Case, ATX Corresponding Mobo with correct CPU socket and RAM/GPU slots, (6?) SATA inputs, and the like. 500GB 5900 RPM Seagate HDD, SATA E8500 Wolfdale 3.16Ghz CPU LGA socket type 775, Dual core SATA Dvd Rom drive ATX PSU, 3 12V rails So is there anything missing/needed?
Get a 4870 instead. Switch to a DVD-RW drive get a 4 GB kit instead of two 2 GB kits 500w will be enough, if you do all that, and it will be more powerful.
For 850 you should be able to get better than that. Also get a 4870 1 gig instead of the 9800gtx+. [editline]10:17PM[/editline] Damn ninjas :ninja:
Oh woops didnt see I put a Dvd drive XD not a cd/dvd rw Also I went for 2x 4GB because to get 2 of those instead of one 4 G was cheaper, trying t okep this down. Didnt it go Ati 4870 being best for single, and Nvidia 260gtx best in dual? I remember hearing there was some driver problem with the 4870 also. I guess Ill change the GPU, Cd drive, and Ram for now.

I saw some benchmark thread and there was something about dual 260's in sli better than the dual 4870's in crossfire.
reserved space, newegg'ing..
Yeah, but with a single 4870 you can stil outclass a single 260, yet if you overclocked a 280 :smug:
