Israel suggests "population transfer" scheme to US, in bid to maintain racial-ethnic purity
Israel has suggested to the United States a plan to transfer to the Palestinian Authority (PA) areas with a dense Arab population currently inside Israel,

Specifically, the offer relates to the area known as the Triangle in east-central Israel, including the cities of Tayibe and Tira, in which about 300,000 Arabs live.
In return for the area ceded, Israel will get to keep settlement blocs

Two Israeli sources confirmed the report to Maariv-NRG, and said that it would help maintain Israel's Jewish character.

One of the sources added that if the Israeli offer is accepted, the Arab population inside Israel will shrink to just 12% of the total population, as opposed to about 20% at present.
This would be a win-win for Israel, it would allow them to cling onto their largest settlements in the Palestinian territories while getting rid of hundreds of thousands of Israeli citizens that are viewed as a threat to Israel's "racial-ethnic purity". The intentions behind this plan are racist as hell and their euphemisms such as "maintaining Israel's Jewish Character" are really thinly veiled.
Israel's Jewish character.
Where have I heard these euphemisms before???
As clearly racist as this is, the fact that they're willing to cede control of areas to the Palestinian Authority could mean that they're willing to compromise on what has historically been a my-way-or-the-highway issue.

I don't know if it could even be described as a compromise to be honest, I think Israel would want to cede control of the trinagle solely because of the "demographic issue". Annexing the settlement blocks would just be icing on the cake.

And I'm pretty sure the existence of the settlement blocs is what makes the West Bank so hard to govern (from the PA's perspective) in the first place.
not trying to make a big point here but hmm: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Madagascar_Plan

Read the article, please. It's not about transferring people, it's about trading control over specific areas.

It's still population transfer. Jews will be leaving certain areas and going to others, same with Arabs.
The fact that they're negotiating is a good sign period.

Because Lamar is extremely anti-Israel and will stretch the sensationalism a bit due to it.

Article doesnt mention negotiation with Palestine, just Israel trying to get an OK from the USA.
There's a ulterior motive to this and if the USA accepts, it purposefully or inadvertently acknowledges and legitimizes Israeli settlement.

As a pretty good American once said: "I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice! And let me remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue!"
If it gets an "ok", I think it will be exciting to see what happens to those places. Like, what will they do.
Still, I really hope non-Jews also can move out when the Jews move out. Many people still prefer living under the Israeli government.

Defending liberty is one thing, stretching the truth is another.
