They all sound terrible.
"Zombie Shooter"
"Zombie Grinder"
Some of them are ported mobile games
Awww yiiis Eastern Front
Oh neat, The Last Door got in. I played the first part of that online and it was pretty alright.
I swear every time there's a thread about Valve greenlighting games, there's always at least one with 'Zombie' in the name

Go Go Nippon actually got greenlit....wow. Did not see that coming.
"Super Code Webpage Developer"
Seriously? They haven't even changed the default VB icon in the screenshots.
Seems like a few panels, buttons and then some code like:
webBrowser1.DocumentText = richTextBox1.Text;
where's the quality control gone
Who cares. Rather have some shovelware get through than letting some gems get stuck in Greenlight purgatory. You decide what to spend money on.
Only good one in there is probably Company of Heroes Eastern Front
where's the quality control gone
That's why Greenlight is there. Valve just doesn't have the time and employee to have a huge testing program so they created Greenlight for the community.
EF-12 FUCK YES!

Is it really that hard to hire a couple of guys, or even get volunteers to moderate greenlight?
Is it really that hard to hire a couple of guys, or even get volunteers to moderate greenlight?
It's against Valve's employee rules to hire someone for one specific job, so they created a system for the community.
'War of the Human Tanks'
:v:
I really hate how this site links to its own site 99% of the time rather than something useful like Valve's own article they always post for Greenlit games.
where's the quality control gone
what quality control
It's against Valve's employee rules to hire someone for one specific job, so they created a system for the community.
well greenlight is honestly pretty shitty if there are constant games with "zombie" in it and "Go go nippon" even gets lit
its an amazing idea and I like it but this is pretty annoying. the least they could do is completely separate what's greenlit and not.
Greenlight doesn't have a community of quality, community is quality control, ergo selections are made absent of quality control
that and the issue is any game with a following can be lit be lit, because of the fact that you can just vote yes, but theres no downrating
They all sound terrible.
"Zombie Shooter"
"Zombie Grinder"
And then there's
continue?9876543210

I personally really like it because I think it shows that the game is weird, artsy, different, and a bit ballsy
Why are indie devs in particular really bad with naming their games
It seems like every time an Indie dev openly complains about the Greenlight system, Valve Greenlights 100 or so new games including that one.
I guess Greenlight isn't as shitty a system as it used to be, all things considered. Pay a hundo and wait a month or two and bam your game's on Steam and in the libraries of everyone that impulse buys it during a sale.
I swear every time there's a thread about Valve greenlighting games, there's always at least one with 'Zombie' in the name
just searched zombie, got 209 hits on the steam store....
maybe this is a little out of control
Still no superpower 2.
Monster Shooter
Correction; Valve usher through 100 Steam Greenlight games all at once, without thinking
continue?9876543210
what
what
If the description is anything to go by it's another artsy bullshit indie game
that and the issue is any game with a following can be lit be lit, because of the fact that you can just vote yes, but theres no downrating
Why is that an issue? I mean, I can see the opposite side of that, where good games that don't have a following have trouble being lit, but if enough people wanted the game greenlit in the first place then why should other people have the right to say no? It's not like that game's existence on steam is hurting anyone.

if this garbage can get greenlit then god knows what else where. it's nothing more than a scam.
there needs to be standards.
if a game has a lot of a attention, both good and bad attention will come to it. Just because it's famous, even if it's hated, a game can be added to greenlight. Even if it's the shittiest minecraft / day z clone or another day one.
reviews alone won't help. People will buy this and a scammer will get money, and since you can't refund games, that's 20$ down the shitter.
