• Good gaming mouse?

My old mouse died today so I currently need a new mouse. Budget is $60. I've been looking at the G500, and it seems like a good option. Any suggestions?
I have a Deathadder and personally I prefer it to the G500, not sure how the match up specwise though.

There is a bitter rivalry between razer and logitech I think. If you are in Europe, get the Roccat Kone. It supposed to be awesome. Personally I use a Logitech G5 v2, great mouse. The Kone is that with high dpi, and better looks, but similar ergonomics.

mx518 is a good one But you maby looking for something better with a budget on $60
I have a Deathadder and personally I prefer it to the G500, not sure how the match up specwise though.
Razer mice are uncomfortable and feel cheap.
mx518 is a good one But you maby looking for something better with a budget on $60
Exactly, i would want something like a G5 v2, actually it looks nicer than the G500 atleast
mx518 is a good one But you maby looking for something better with a budget on $60
I have that mouse, it's really good. Feels sturdy. Got it for 25$ at a sale.
~$30 more gets you a G9, you won't regret it.

Roccat is just the european version of Razer if you know what I mean.
Razer mice are plagued with problems including poor lifespan, terrible customer support, buggy drivers, and an increasingly ricer line of products that seem to be packing more useless features every time a new mouse comes out. Stay away from them at all costs. The Deathadder was nice at first but now it's been outclassed by Logitech's line.
Razer mice are uncomfortable and feel cheap.
My Deathadder feels fine, though it is light as hell, so it does feel a bit odd sometimes.
I got my Logitech g500 for $40 at Best Buy; my first gaming mouse and imo it's a very good mouse.
My Logitech G5 has been going strong for over two years now. I love it.
Get the blue G5. It's probably the best mouse out there now, or at least the best bang for your buck.
I've got the MS Sidewinder X5, mostly because it was on sale for $40, and I gotta say it's rather good.
Get the blue G5. It's probably the best mouse out there now, or at least the best bang for your buck.
518's better BFB but I prefer the texture of the G5 over the smoothness of the 518 I picked up my G5 for the price of a 518 :smug:
I've had the Razer Lachesis since its launch, dunno how long it's been. I don't even know why I got it in the first place. I'm mostly just running it on the lowest DPI, even though it has like 4000 or whatever. It actually feels kind of cheap and it doesn't have any awesome features except some buttons and the ridiculously high DPI.
I've been told to stay away from Razer mice :/ hmm
I have a deathadder as well, I fucking love it great mouse. I have the G9 and it is awesome. I upgraded it from what I'm guessing was a defective G5 because the G5 was horrible and then died about 4 months later.
I'm still using my 6+ year old MX518. It's a good mouse.

So yes, it was necessary.
I've been told to stay away from Razer mice :/ hmm
No, stay away from their keyboards. Their mouses are the best on the market pretty much, minus one or two Logitech products. Go with the Razer Deathadder, it's rather cheap and the 3500dpi is more than you'll ever need. It's a really good mouse and it's ergonomically designed for your hand and it feels like sex
I would get the G500, mines coming in the mail in a couple days. I know you said the G500 is ugly, but it was a bad picture. [editline]02:43AM[/editline] While I can't say anything about the Deathadder, I can tell you the Salmosa sucks.
Just stay away from Razer. Plastic shit.
Just stay away from Razer. Plastic shit.
not to mention the quality of their drivers match the quality of their products
not to mention the quality of their drivers match the quality of their products

Just stay away from Razer. Plastic shit.
The drivers aren't bad, first of all, I had no trouble with them. They only give you trouble if you're a complete monkey with a computer (produce some Shakespeare while you're at it) I don't understand how the shell of it affects the inside of it, I think you're just nitpicking.
I didn't say anything about drivers. And the shell does matter quite a lot. It's a light plasticky thing that you can probably break by dropping on the floor, not to mention it feels really cheap. Also, that high-DPI shit is a gimmick.
