Hey guys, this is my current specs:
CPU: i7-870 4GHz
RAM: 2x4GB DDR3 1600MHz
GPU: EVGA GTX 560 Ti 2GB
PSU: Antec TP-750
HDD: 120GB SSD (Vertex 3) + 1TB Samsung
I want to upgrade the graphics card, as it is sort of a bottleneck, I've looked at a 780 which is around $500 which is an appropriate product.
I've got two options: EVGA, Gigabyte
I'd also like to know if this would cause a bottleneck in my system, as I'm running 1156 socket (2009ish I think)
EVGA:

Gigabyte:

Thanks in advance
I'd personally go with the EVGA 780 (not the 780 Ti, which is a different card)
It's mostly your personal preference though. EVGA and Gigabyte are both great brands and the cards are nearly identical.

Will my system at all be bottlenecked being an older system, or could it handle the graphics card?
What resolution are you running at? I have a feeling the 780 would be very unnecessary. If you are running @ 1080p, the R9 280X will max out pretty much everything on ultra. If you got that you could also upgrade the rest of your system (which isn't too bad honestly, but it could be better).

I'm at 1920x1080 (1 monitor) but looking forward to purchasing a second monitor at the same ratio.
However I'm hoping the 780 will last me a long time, thus me coughing up 500ish bucks :)
The R9 280X would last you a very long time as well; they are both very high end cards.
If you are not planning on playing the same game on both monitors (which looks very bad by the way) I still recommend you get the R9 280X.
Either way, your system probably won't bottleneck it. Bottlenecks are very hard to predict, but my best guess would be it won't be a bottleneck or at least not much of one.
