• Building an ant farm // Also need help with a wasp nest

So, I saw Garry's post and decided I would also build an ant farm. It won't be as big as his but still, I think it would be cool. I collected the materials and tools from my basement already. [img_thumb]http://puu.sh/3vtug.jpg[/img_thumb] I will be using the larger pieces for a frame, the smaller wood to build a sort of rail for the glass. I will attempt to cut the plexiglass in half to use it as for the front and back. ( Alternatively use the whole thing just for the front and use wood in the back and just have it 2x as big. Input on what you guys think I should do. ) And then I plan to seal and reinforce the whole thing with hot glue. Also, I didn't want to make another thread for this: I appear to have a wasp nest outside/in my house. On my balcony we have a hole in the wall for the satellite cables to enter our house. The hole is about 3cm is diameter. When I went outside 2 days ago I saw there was a lot of wasps flying in and out of the hole so I assume they built a nest inside our walls. Of course I want to get rid of them. Since it's inside the wall something as simple as knocking it down or setting it on fire isn't an option. Now I thought about just sealing the hole but I don't want them to start looking for another exit cause they might find one inside the house. The first thing I tried was get bug spray and I basically sprayed the entire can into the hole. Unfortunately that didn't do it, Apparently some survived or maybe some that were outside before are rebuilding because there is still some wasp-traffic. Does anyone have any ideas? I was just gonna spray the rest of the bug spray I have and then seal the hole but maybe on of you has a better idea.

(make sure they're all dead and you empty it when you're done though) then more bug spray then seal it?
Update: I screwed some of the frame together and prepared some of the pieces I will use for the rails for the glass ( cut and drilled holes ) I have decided to just use wood on the back and use an even bigger sheet of plexiglass for the front. Anyone have a suggestion for how much space I should leave in between the back and the glass? [img_thumb]http://puu.sh/3wjYa.jpg[/img_thumb] [img_thumb]http://puu.sh/3wjYL.jpg[/img_thumb]
I was looking at Garry's and it looks like the space in between was around 25mm, which seems like a good amount of space.
