Does anybody know anything about pet diseases? I think my cat is dying.

Okay listen,
I understand this isn't Dr. FP or Vet FP but my cat is not able to walk, has some sort of white, dried up gunk coming out of it's nose/mouth and is having trouble breathing. I can hear his wheezing and it sounds like it's really really forced, like he's trying really hard to breath. Every minute or two he makes these horrific loud growl/meow noises.
The first thing that woke me was that he was making these sounds at the bottom of the stairwell and I managed to hear it from all the way across the house with my headphones on playing GMod.
Currently both my parents are sleeping and I'd feel like an idiot if I got everyone up and went to the vet for nothing, but at the same time I love my cat so much and I'd hate to have anything happen to him.
Does anybody know anything about this? If not I'll wake everyone up but please help!
I think it's pulmonary edema. My cat just died from it, get him to the vet.
Go to the vet tomorrow.

I'd go to sleep and check in the morning but his constant cries are keeping me up. They're the loudest I've ever heard them.
He may have a cancerous cell in one of his noses. We lost my brother's cat to that...wasn't pretty.
Oh god I just brought him downstairs, while I was bringing him down to my grandparents he made the most heart-breaking meows I've ever heard. I placed him on a pillow but he DRAGGED himself, he didn't walk, he DRAGGED himself into the closet in there and I can't see him anymore.
I'm scared.
Next time, take him to the goddamned hospital even if you don't think there is a problem.
Sorry to say but you may lose your cat tonight :frown:
Just be prepared :(
Stop bringing him places in your house. Bring him to the vet ASAP. Lay him down, keep him warm. Have water close, and maybe some food if it decides it wants either.. make sure they're easily accessible.
Apparently in front of my parents he walked just fine and laid himself down at the bottom of my stairs again. I wasn't down there so I wouldn't know, but I can hear his meow every now and then.
I think he may have broken one of his hind legs, it seems to be one of them is very sore.
post pics op this is getting interesting
I can't post pics I have no camera, only a camcorder and I'm not digging it out.
His cries are now spaced less and less. He's at the bottom of the stairs and it's making me jump every single time.
Stop making assumptions; just take him to the vet.
You can be as optimistic as you want, but you might lose him;
you can also be as pessimistic as your would lose him, and it might just be a broken toe.
Is your cat coughing?
Vet. Now. If you care about that damn animal wake up your parents and JUST DO IT. You wouldn't want to feel pain like that, would you? YOUR CAT IS IN PAIN.
If you really cared about your cat, take him to the vet / emergency pet hospital.
Dont put it off, just do it.
Guys, it's too late the vet is closed.
BULL. There are 24 hour vet emergency clinics GO NOW.
Take him to the vet.

I don't think tiny cat livers take too well to paracetamol...
Or ibuprofen or whatever the fuck
Take it to the vet, even if it's not deadly, you'd better have it tested.
Take it to the fucking vet, it's one night out of the 20000+ you have remaining in your life. Shut the fuck up and take it to the vet or it's blood is on your hands.
Cats will hide when they think it's their time. I know several cats who have done this including mine in the past. I have no clue what is wrong with it, but if you truly care about it you will go out of your way to get it to a vet.
If my pet showed bad health signs, I wouldn't keep my family sleeping. :colbert:
Wake everyone up and go to the vet, don't waste time.

Oh, the OP is from 9 hours ago.
this happened 9 hours ago, i think his cat is either dead or alive by now.
Your cat is just molting, dont worry, in about 3 hours he will come out from under the couch with a shiny new shell!
