This will be the most ambitious Facepunch meet up that has been attempted. We plan to go camping for 4 days and 4 nights. Tents, stove cooked food and waking up to nature right outside your door. Think you can handle it? Interested in taking part in a small segment of Facepunch history? Then read on and listen closely.

Event Details
We're going to be camping in Grizedale Forest in the Lake District. The camping will take place on Monday 26th to 30th July 2010
We are booked into a campsite which provides showers and toilets. According to apwd007, rules of the camp are relaxed; allowing groups and also fires. Prices are £6 per adult per night and £2.50 per child per night.
Here are some pictures of the area we're camping in;

Things you should bring
There is the obvious such as a sleeping bag and enough food to last for the duration. The campsite will have clean running water. It is also important that you bring waterproofs and a lot of warm clothes (fleeces, warm socks…). As we might have to do a shop it would be a good idea to bring some money to buy goodies as well as emergency food.
Some other equipment that you might not all have, but if you do have it then bring it along include: stoves (paraffin, trangias primuses or camping gas stoves)

I will bring along a supply of Paracetamol and Nurofen and a spare sleeping bag incase of accidents and a small med kit. But remember if you can bring along some medical stuff for minor bruises cuts and scrapes (e.g.: plasters and shit)
Travel

The train station we are headed to is Windermere. To get to the campsite from the train station, we will be using the local bus service. People who are driving to Windermere may also give lifts.
Just remember, don't be a cunt if you DO decide to come; this is going to take some serious organising so we don't want anybody ruining it, please. The fact we're going to be drinking doesn't give you an excuse to rape Hezzy, either. Sorry.
Derp second post!11!!
On a more serious note, I think this is going to be a jolly good outing.
Just remember, don't be a cunt if you DO decide to come. We will put you in a boat on the lake and burn you. The fact we're going to be drinking doesn't give you an excuse to rape Hezzy, either. Sorry.
What's wrong with camping?
Is there an age limit for this one?
I've been vowing to come to these meetups for a while but haven't been able to make it, so I might try come this time. I also have a qualification in a first aid if that will come in handy.
wait, i'm 18 and live in the Uk. i wonder...
If you guys are going to be there.. That means Tea will come.. :ohdear:...

I'm considering it, I dread to think how much it'll cost to travel up from Cornwall though.
Looks like it'd be fun. Will there be typical camping activities like camp-fire songs etc?
Wait so 14 year olds can drink alcohol in the UK?
No, not legally.
