• Sen. Grassley: FBI Will Leak Clinton Investigation If Politics Gets in Way
Republican Senator Chuck Grassley suggested on Friday that the FBI would leak their investigation into Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s email scandal if politics hindered them. “Is there going to be political interference?” Grassley said at a meeting in Des Moines, according to The Des Moines Register. “If there’s enough evidence to prosecute, will there be political interference? And if there’s political interference, then I assume that somebody in the FBI is going to leak these reports and it’s either going to have an effect politically or it’s going to lead to prosecution if there’s enough evidence.” Grassley insisted he wasn’t trying to support a leak.
http://lawnewz.com/high-profile/grassley-fbi-could-leak-clinton-investigation-if-politics-gets-in-way/ *wink*
Going for the "That's a nice campaign you got there. Be a shame if something were to happen to it" approach.
Yesss grassley gonna kick some ass
is "P" code for something?
is "P" code for something?
Probable cause????
Probable cause????
Pterodactyl, probably. Hillary is a dinosaur: confirmed
Pterodactyl, probably. Hillary is a dinosaur: confirmed
emphasis on the DINO
Going for the "That's a nice campaign you got there. Be a shame if something were to happen to it" approach.
The FBI has a job to do, if Politics get in the way, well... It's actually quite sad, the concept of the FBI resorting to a sort of vigilante justice because politics stand in the way of their job.
I guess we can only hope that justice happens, but I still have my doubts.
Obama is just gonna pardon her, I'm sure there will be a reaction but I doubt it'd be enough to derail her when the GOP opponents she will likely face aren't really electable. As much as I'd like for it to push her out of the election, chances are now she's locked in.
[del]So the FBI openly admits to blackmailing a presidential candidate? That sounds very illegal.[/del] Nevermind, didn't read the article.
So the FBI openly admits to blackmailing a presidential candidate? That sounds very illegal.
I think it's more that they're concerned that Obama will pardon her.
[del]And before anyone accuses me of defending Hillary's actions, I have no problem with them leaking the investigation. The issue is that they're using that information for leverage.[/del]
And before anyone accuses me of defending Hillary's actions, I have no problem with them leaking the investigation. The issue is that they're using that information for leverage.
I think the greater concern is that they feel like the have to use any kind of leverage to make sure their job can be seen through, and that justice is served. The fact they need leverage to seek justice is concerning.
What this is proposing isn't blackmail, they're not trying to get something from Clinton by coercion. What this is actually is a Deadman's Switch; if something stops them from doing their job, the information will still get out there.
FBI resorting to "DO IT FAGGOT" is hilarious
So the FBI openly admits to blackmailing a presidential candidate? That sounds very illegal.
Sounds like you didnt read the article. The FBI didnt say shit. A senator did. This is all the senator's talk.
I can't imagine Clinton would have this much support from the establishment if they seriously thought her campaign was going to spontaneously combust due to an indictment following the FBI investigation.
Sounds like you didnt read the article. The FBI didnt say shit. A senator did. This is all the senator's talk.
My bad.
I can't imagine Clinton would have this much support from the establishment if they seriously thought her campaign was going to spontaneously combust due to an indictment following the FBI investigation.
It comes down to our two-tier justice system. If you wanted a candidate that brazenly flaunts laws and demonstrates white and affluent privileges, then look no further.

I think it should be released either way.
Obama pardoning her would be political suicide for the entire Democratic party, there's no way in hell he'd go through with it.
If anything, this election has shown me that no matter how bad your policies are, or your track record, people will vote along party lines till hell freezes over. So I doubt it'd do anything if Obama did pardon her. Plus, he's nearly out of office so he has little to lose.
I can't wait to see this bomb drop, it looks like it's just a matter of time at this point
Bad things that would happen if Obama pardoned Clinton after she was convicted of a Crime: - The Democratic Party will be on the brink of collapse unless they denounce Obama. - Obama will be perceived as one of the worst Presidents in US history. - Articles of impeachment will be brought against Obama and his order will most likely be overruled. - She will be entirely unelectable by the majority of the population, meaning that Trump or Cruz will most likely win. (If Bernie Sanders runs 3rd party, then it's likely that he will get at most 40% of the vote because 10% of voters will probably still back Clinton) - I'll throw out my Obama Surfer Bobblehead Good things that would happen if Obama pardoned Clinton after she was convicted of a Crime: - Clinton and Obama are better friends than before.

Doubt it. Nixon got pardoned when he was obviously guilty and it didn't destroy the republican party 2. really really doubt it 3. You can't impeach a president for pardoning someone and you can't overrule a pardon 4. I'd say it'd hurt her, but I still think people would prefer her over Trump or Cruz and I can't see losing over it. Also Obama wouldn't even pardon her for a conviction, he can pardon her over the possibility that she may have committed a crime. Regardless of whether or not she did.
1. Nixon wasn't running for President at the time of his pardon, this is a totally different situation. The Republicans didn't leave that situation unscathed by the way, it contributed to their loss in the 1976 Presidential election
Sure, but only for one presidential term. Then they came back and swung into the presidency for a decade, then controlled Congress for much of the next decade. Having Carter elected is by no means "Republicans fell apart after Nixon was pardoned".
- Obama will be perceived as one of the worst Presidents in US history.
This in particular is silly. Nixon did stuff way worse than Clinton. What she did was risk top secret data getting leaked through incompetence, but she wasn't using the IRS or the FBI to harass political opponents or bug offices.
- Obama will be perceived as one of the worst Presidents in US history.
Source needed. Hes been highly regarded as being one of the best due to working with a congress that was completely against them.
Also Obama wouldn't even pardon her for a conviction, he can pardon her over the possibility that she may have committed a crime. Regardless of whether or not she did.
Legal precedent says that accepting a pardon is admission of guilt, and presidential pardons are specifically voided by the pardoned person being president or becoming president. So if Obama pardons Hillary she is automatically set up to be impeached as soon as she steps into office.
