I found my Dad's old Sidewinder Precision 2 joystick in the basement a while back, and I'm having trouble getting it to work; windows vista doesn't detect that it's even being plugged in to the computer, and honestly I can't really find anything through google, so any help here would mean a lot. Thanks.
If Windows doesn't detect it and it's also from Microsoft, chances are that there aren't any compatible drivers. The latest the drivers probably work with is Windows XP
It should "just work" according to Google. Try some different USB ports, or maybe a different computer altogether (have a looksie to see if it's coming up in device manager, too). If that doesn't work, the stick may well be toast.
