Okay, so as the title says, will a wireless apple keyboard work on windows vista? I'm kind of a greenhorn when it comes to things like this, but I'm using the 64-bit version, and as a person who is typing constantly, I hear that an apple keyboard is the way to go. I didn't know whether to place this in here or somewhere else, but hopefully you friendly Macintosh folks can help me out of a jam. It's this keyboard. Money is currently no object, I just want to make sure it's going to work properly on my PC.
Thanks for any assistance that can be provided. And if any mods feel this is the incorrect place, please move the thread.
Providing you have bluetooth on your machine (Duh), the easiest way to be able to use the volume keys is to install the Bootcamp drivers which can be found online, albeit not so easily. From there, you need a program such as KeyTweak to swap the CMD with ALT, so the Windows key doesn't feel out of place.
I do this with my numeric wired aluminium keyboard and it works rather nicely.
you'll need drivers for it, so you can use the media keys and also windows may have an issue detecting it
you can either:
download the latest bootcamp drivers from the apple website (there are other sources of course if you can't find the latest version), just google them
or get just the keyboard driver seperately here

note that i don't think it's up to date
also if you download the entire bootcamp package there should be a folder where all the installers are kept separately, so you would just look through it to find the one that says keyboard or whatever I think

tbh seeing as he's a windows user, i doubt he would need to swap the cmd key
Danke for the help guys. I'd buy a Macbook pro outright, but I've already spent £1k on this computer, ain't no way I'm buying a new one in a loooong time.

If you install the keyboard drivers that Apple provides, it ties the windows key to the command key and it's quite annoying as normal keyboards would have it in the position that option/alt is in - hence the suggestion to swap them around.
