Internet hacktivist group Anonymous has declared cyberwar on Israel, posting personal data of five thousand Israeli officials online. The group used their Anonpaste.me site to address a message to the Israeli government before linking to the page with names, ID numbers and personal emails of 5,000 officials. The message said: "It has come to our attention that the Israeli government has ignored repeated warnings about the abuse of human rights, shutting down the internet in Israel and mistreating its own citizens and those of its neighboring countries." The group also said "Israeli Gov. this is/will turn into a cyberwar."
news source release info Leaked personal information
Greetings Citizens of the world, This is Anonymous. It has come to our attention that the Israeli government has ignored repeated warnings about the abuse of human rights, shutting down the internet in Israel and mistreating its own citizens and those of its neighboring countries. November 2012 will be a month to remember for the Israeli defense forces and internet security forces. Israeli Gov. this is/will turn into a cyberwar. Yeah anon, please stay out of important world affairs, you aren't helping.
Good job, Anon. Savin' the world like the internet badass' you are :downs:
Not sure what to think about this one.
Mixed feelings here. I do not agree at all with how Israeli officials handle the Palestinian case (hell, I'm disgusted by them), but I'm not comfortable with a bunch of internet "hacktivists" being part of the equation. I'm pretty sure among those 5000 officials, a lot have nothing to do with the atrocities commited by Israel or might have tried to make things right. [editline]18th November 2012[/editline] The fuck the address, city, phone number and shit are there, this is the kind of stuff that can get people killed, fuck you anon, just plain fuck you.
and Jesus Christ.
We are Anonymous We are Legion We will not forgive. We will not forget. Israel, it is too late to expect us.
So lame :v:
Yeah anon, please stay out of important world affairs, you aren't helping.
Yea, human beings stop caring about human suffering. Fucking bleeding heart lib commie bitches.
Yea, human beings stop caring about human suffering. Fucking bleeding heart lib commie bitches.
What? Leaking a load of names and addresses of officials who may or may not be involved in the gaza thing doesn't help anyone and oculd potentially put lives at risk. Never mind the fact that Hamas are no better than Israel in this conflict.
The thing about releasing these private documents are that you do not only put that singular person at risk but everyone associated with them for e.g. their family.
Yea, human beings stop caring about human suffering. Fucking bleeding heart lib commie bitches.
Are you really happy with a bunch of ignorant script kiddies trying to influence world affairs? I seriously doubt Anonymous considered the potential consequences of their actions, they just want to feel powerful.
this isn't going to help but at least anonymous are trying to do.. something
Are you really happy with a bunch of ignorant script kiddies trying to influence world affairs?
Not particularly but Israel did threaten to cut off all communications etc to Gaza, which is bullshit and nobody else is doing anything.
I can't blame them for doing this, and it isn't necessarily the wrong thing, but I'm not sure how much they are helping/if they did the right thing to help :|
"Pff Anons can't ever do anything, they only DDoS shit randomly and never accomplish anything serious what a joke!" "Omg anon you are putting lives in danger stop!!" (I don't overly approve any of these shenanigans because while SOME people might have a good intent, quite a few just goes "YAAAY WE CAN CAUSE HUMBUG" which is where all these retarded slogans are coming from. People should still remember this force is not entirely harmless.)
You know what also puts people in danger? Dropping bombs on government buildings. Obviously Israel intends to attack every Hamas official aswell. Both sides are equally bad, however I'm willing to bet a large portion of these Israeli officials don't support what they're government is doing.
You know what also puts people in danger? Dropping bombs on fucking parliament buildings. Obviously Israel intends to attack every Hamas official aswell. Both sides are equally bad, however I'm willing to bet a large portion of these Israeli officials don't support what they're government is doing.
Because putting even more people in danger would really solve the problem, especially when those peoples involvement in said problem is in question.
These people could be from the anti-Netanyahu party and still could end up getting a few rockets chucked at their house.
Why does anonymous think they're some kind of internet heroes fighting for justice, they don't do shit, and hacking random websites and leaking personal information doesn't help anything, only makes things worse.
We are Anonymous We are Legion We will not forgive. We will not forget. Israel, it is too late to expect us.
Shuuuut the fuck uppp There is nothing ominous or intimidating about these stupid overly dramatic glory statements. Nobody cares about these internet shenanigans in real life. Stop trying to be cool.
Well, it's an effective way of bringing disorder to a large group.
Well, it's an effective way of bringing disorder to a large group.
Of course, this whole conflict needs more disorder.
Because putting even more people in danger would really solve the problem, especially when those peoples involvement in said problem is in question.
you understand that this information isn't exactly a closely guarded secret, alot of it may have already been readily available anyway.
Of course, this whole conflict needs more disorder.
Israel does not care, as far as they're concerned they were "there first".
WE R NONAMOUSE!!!! WE R LEGON!!!! xDDDDD

I thought they were good people when they supported Julian Assange etc. but this is just fucking dumb. I am dissapointed.
This is actualy sad. I mean honsetly i feel embaressed by even reading stuff like this.
I thought they were good people when they supported Julian Assange etc. but this is just fucking dumb. I am dissapointed.

anon isn't a group, it's just a name anyone can use.
People need to get this into their head, just because "Anonymous" supported Assange doesn't mean that they also hacked Sony and also did this.
Hamas must be pretty happy at least :v:
Israel does not care, as far as they're concerned they were "there first".
You think Hamas cares when they put ammunition dumps next to hospitals or when they fire rockets at civilians? Honestly, I'm having a hard time seeing either side taking the moral high ground here and I could give less than a shit about "who started it" at this point. Both sides are pulling a lot of shit, and as such both sides should be condemned for their actions.
