I suggest you send the information to the devs so they can fix this.

I'm not sure exactly how I fixed that but I believe you have to remove every folder in steam except steamapps and steam.exe or something like that. Try to google it, wouldn't want you deleting something unnecesary.

I remember hearing about this once so I figured I'd download it and give it a shot. Was light on info so I thought it was a single player mod, but it's unfortunately just another Multiplayer game. That's unfortunate because no one's playing it. There's maybe 1 or 2 servers in the US that have people on occasionally but it's otherwise dead and not really playable.
Should have a single player component, the atmosphere and style would work so well for it... Right now, it's just a waste of space unless you've got enough friends with the time and co-ordination to actually get a match going :(

Go get some friends with computers that are at least less than 5 years old. You really only need two.
This game is pretty amazing. Reminds me of when Resident Evil didn't include cover oriented combat and diving through windows to get outside.

What version are you playing? I see tons of servers with people.
Mod is great, happy to see some more active servers around the last few weeks

The latest version from their ModDB page... 1.04. Bear in mind I'm in Australia, but even showing all of the servers (not just Australian ones) there's barely been anything on since I installed it.
They still haven't fixed hit detection and damage. Shot to the head doesn't always kill.

there's a hitbox inside the head hitbox, that simulates the brain stem
you have to hit that.
