Some of you know and have listened to my "Dreamscape" album. Well this time, it's an official release. It's been completely rearranged so it actually sounds like more than a bunch of old loops smashed together. I have organized all this all on last.fm so that when you scrobble it, the album cover and everything should pop up like I'm a real artist, because technically I am. And I'll also show up on common artists hopefully, that'll be an achievement for me to see "Music you have in common includes Kai "Avant" Gardner

For both those who do and those who don't have Dreamscape, please download and listen, then whether you like it or not is completely for yourself to decide. If you do, listen, support, if you don't, then that is somewhat unfortunate. I promise to produce fresh material in the future.
So regulars, lurkers, randoms who come across this, please enjoy this Progressive Classical work!

Is that a modified Pokémon song I hear near the end of Overture?

I hear quite some Nintendo influences, is this correct?
Certainly. there are Nintendo influences. I didn't have any particular Pokemon song in mind when making the loop though. Plus it's very reflective of nostalgia, games like Donkey Kong Country 1, 2 and 3, Super Mario 64, and a few more take heavy influence on the synthesizer part of the sound. My childhood comprised of gaming, and my adolescence is more primed towards music, so there's a large nature of video game music here. But yet aswell there is classical influence, particularly on The Battle and Collapse
Oh man, the start of Overture is awesome. I can definitely hear the Nintendo references.
It's really rekindling some nostalgia. Really nice.
downloawding
I thought it was pretty good.
Is good.

Please feel free to review it so I can improve on myself in future endeavours
my review:
"shit sandwich"
Cause you didn't make it
it's a spinal tap joke
I thought this was pretty good. I especially liked the jazz influences and the aforementioned Nintendo style.
I couldn't resist those sexy sax solos

No one should even think about resisting sax solos.
That picture, is it supposed to be the 'picture for the song' or something? Anyways I'm downloading now.
What do you mean?
It's the album cover
Yeah sorry I meant that, but who made it?
Barch Marizol
Credits in the txt file in the zip
I'm at the end of The Red Rose atm, amazing track. Overture was great aswell, especially with the different themes, but I did not like the transitions. They came too suddenly and very unorganized.
Well I hope you like track 3, there are transitions in it but they're done well enough
Track 4 is built on transition because that's the idea that it goes from theme to theme
Track 5 is an entire piece, no transition bullcrap
Track 6 (bonus one) is just like overture
I've heard it all the way through now, and it's great. It's complete and it's epic. Great job!
Thanks so much!! :)
Sounds like a lot of sampling, what did you use?
FL Studio to compose, mates friend's MM6 to put the midi files into decent voices. The machine I hope to aquire myself especially because his broke down
Most of it sounds like keyboard playing, I've never used FL studio though, so I wouldn't know.
It is keyboard playing technically. I compose my songs in FL studio, the melodies, drum tracks, basslines, etc, then play the MIDI through the yamaha MM6 straight through to the computer so all of my songs gained their sounds as opposed to the standard midi sounds
You really should use FL Studio Akayz, it's a great program to mess around with.
But it sounds like crap, lol
Once you get the good stuff with high quality samples, you can do it easily though.
I'd love to have a go with Drumkit From Hell.
I am going to get it as soon as I've got good internet back and work on my Post-Metal/Groove solo project
