Building a decent gaming computer for $500.

Well the title says what this thread is about and I'm not very good at introductions so just going to get right to the point.

I am looking for a low-medium end gaming computer.

•I have a budget of $500 dollars. If i do not run into an emergency like last time i have the money right now.

•The games i currently play are Counterstrike Source,Garry's Mod,TF2,L4D,Battlefield 2, and Project Reality. IF possible i would like to be able to play ARMA 2. (I am fine with playing games on the lowest detail)

•My monitor is 1024 by 768 pixels.

•I can reuse my Monitor,Mouse,Speakers. If there is a guide out there to reusing Hard Drives i would be up for trying that.

•I do not need anything extra.

•I live in the united states. (If you need more info then that you're a perv!)

1024x768 is very low end

you sure your monitor doesn't at least go up to 1280x1024

1024x768 is my Monitors default resolution. It can go up to 1280x1024. Should i edit the original post to say that?

Not much point, but 1280x1024 is lots better resolution to work at.

Assuming HDD is hard drive it is 222 gigabytes.

Optical drive as in cd-drive? I believe i can reuse it. (I am on a dell e521)

According to that, you have a 320 GB HD, and a DVD-RW optical drive. You should be able to reuse them.
