I have played the Saints Row series,I loved those comedic games,The idea of a TV show would be fabulous,It would most likely be a Comedy/Action.Please post in the comments what you think, and if you have any ideas PM me!
Are you saying you're going to make one? I'm not sure if it would work, I mean what would you make the Main Character look/sound like when there's so many options?
It's been said that 50 Cent is interested in making a movie of those games. If he made one it would be crap. It would be the kind of B Grade, bad acting movie that Fast and The Furious is. It probably have Vin Diesel in it to. Besides, it wouldn't work. Its not the kind of game you make a movie out of. Grand Theft Auto would make a good movie, (If done right) Saints Row wouldn't.
No.
No.
Worst idea ever. Game to show/movie always ends SO badly. If they were easy, Gabe would've decided on a HL movie or something by now. GTA/Elder scrolls are the only two that I'd think would make good movies, GTA is a 4/10 'it MAY work', ES is a 3/10 'Ehh, would be badass'. I'm also being generous with that. Game worlds work very differently from movie worlds. As cool as a movie would be, it'll be terribad about 95% of the time, if not more.
I could see maybe something CGI. Not a major theater style film though. Something short on DVD/download might work. There are much better suited games however for a full out film. GTA Would be easy since the GTA games are really just interactive crime stories themselves.

I think Fallout would make a good TV series. Not film, but it could be a good TV show
What about Fallout? I think Fallout would make a good TV series. Not film, but it could be a good TV show
That I totally agree with. It would be pretty interesting, and potentially successful considering the recent successful shows dealing with apocalyptic scenarios (Falling Skies, the Walking Dead, etc.) I personally think Red Dead Redemption would make a good movie, barring continuity issues [sp]Marston's dead[/sp] And as far as GTA IV goes, I think Niko Bellic is a wonderful, multi-faceted character. I think it'd be awesome if GTA IV was turned into a Neo-Noir TV show or movie, kind of like Sin City (great movie!). I've also always thought that Mass Effect would make a good movie or TV show. The entire Mass Effect universe, although it shares similarities to other Sci-Fi tropes, is entirely unique, and I think that'd make any sort of visual medium it gets turned into also nice and fresh. I'm always hesitant though, whenever this sort of idea is brought up. I can't help but think of the awfulness that was The Prince of Persia movie. Oh, and Max Payne. And Hitman.
I always thought that if I made a GTA Movie, it would be like that. Following different Characters in the same city. We could have Niko Bellic, Johnny Klebitz, Luis Lopez and for the classic GTA players, Claude Speed You also forgot to mention Resident Evil, Doom, Silent Hill, Far Cry, Mortal Kombat: Annihilation andHouse of the Dead.
I don't think any game would make for an enjoyable movie. Story telling in games is getting better and better, they don't need movies to tell their story.
Video game movies are always terrible. Also why would we PM you ideas? Are you going to make one?
I can see the old Warcraft lore.
I can see the old Warcraft lore.
What does that even mean?
Saints Row? Huehue the game is badly written for a reason. The story is interesting in the point of the action and the gang wars but it's not even supposed to be "the best story ever," which most movies need, a great story. OP is 12.
Saints Row is such a pastiche of generic cop and gangsta movies that it's probably been made half a dozen times already.
I can see the old Warcraft games being smashed into a movie or two. Warcraft 1 and 2.

Yes it would, only if Tim and Eric did it. They have already done a show for the DLC and a TV series would be fantastic ONLY if it was made by them.
video game movies dont work because they just arent as engaging as their movie counterparts. Games use multiple things to deliver its narrative, gameplay, cutscenes, text, etc. Movies are limited to those things, and its the act of playing the game and having control that makes it so engaging and fun. A Saints Row movie would be god awful, its nothing but a satire of GTA with the appeal of being able to do ridiculous things in an open world. I cant wait until the third comes out, but a movie? Ha. As for other games, like Uncharted for example, i dont think it will be nearly as good as the game. Would it make a good movie, maybe, but the game was so much more engaging as it borrowed aspects from movies and put you in control of the scene. I dont think it will work out.
we've already got movies like this. saint's row/gta would be movies like crank. fallout would be movies like book of eli. maybe the road. the point is that all anyone would be doing in making official movies of the video game would be milking the franchise because the basic principle of the game that would make the movie has already been done. also many video game movies that come out have fuck nothing to do with the video game itself, like far cry and max payne (it has angels in it, fucking angels) even faithful examples like silent hill turn out shit. honestly if it wasn't for the appearance of pyramid head, the flesh-straight jacketed acid puking thingy and the music it could have been another generic thriller/horror movie. also hitman. dear god that one was blindingly unfaithful. the main point of hitman games may be that you can play any way you like, yes. but to be faithful all hitman does is kill his targets and only his targets.
I got this idea after watching The Walking Dead and realizing is it kind of like Left 4 Dead with an actual story that doesn't cut off sometimes,I do agree Book of Eli is kind of the Fallout movie. But,The point is a TV show,Most of the people are saying a bad MOVIE title,I have said Movie/TV

The point of Saints Row is that its silly and over the top so its fun to play. A whole TV series about that isn't going to work. Mostly because its not nearly as fun to just watch that happen.
Movie? No. Show with a new story and characters every episode? Yes.
No, Cause Uwe Boll would direct it.
