Analysts fear Apple may have lost its way since the death of its visionary founder, Steve Jobs, in October 2011.

No shit? pretty much everyone but the most rabid fanboy called it.
I heard the next version of the iPhone is gonna be faster than the current one!
There is only so thin and flat you can make a phone

I like just a bit of weight in my phone so I know it's still there.

I want my phone do double as a heavy object I can throw at somebody.

I only buy electronics that I think could probably kill someone.
The only problem i have with their products are that they are too expensive. I don't want to pay AU$999 for the model that i want.
(That's Australian dollars for everyone else.)

Same here, removing the warning label works like a charm.

Damn, that long ago already?
When friends were coming up to me for iPhone advice because they didn't know if they wanted the 5 or the 4S, I told them to get the 4s since there's really nothing big of a change, yeah a little bigger screen, LTE support (which most telcos in Australia only provide for the city), new charger, slightly improved camera and a faster processor
hell, the iPhone 4 will be the new 3GS when it comes to cheaper iPhones and that still works fine
That's why I have a Thinkpad, I could batter somebody to death with it and it wouldn't even have a mark on it.

Honestly, Nokia is one of the most innovative handset manufacturers at the moment.
But what about the toughpad? I have a Motorola Milestone and an M14x (shoot me), they are sufficiently deadly.
Every bubble bursts eventually.
You know, they could bounce back pretty quickly if they stopped holding back features for the proceeding year's releases and gave up a little bit of their profit margins by making the products a bit cheaper.
There's only so much you can do with current technology until they discover new things, maybe that's where some of their money could go, more into research.
It's silly that they release a new one every year, yes.. but from a business stand point it's gaining money.

Yet Samsung, HTC, Google and LG are still achieving new things, despite 'current' technology. I think Apple is just lost and feeling unable to compete - so they just keep getting smaller and thinner. It's all they have going for them, weight and size.
Apple have great product design and customer support going for them.
I can't say much for the software side of things because i'm really biased, but they don't seem to be doing much of anything in that department.
