Just read this this in the Bethesda Official Forums:
Sorry not sure where to post this but its important. I think the Bethesda forums database was (and still is) hacked: I was looking for a good post from a couple of weeks ago. I remembered the title of the post, so I put that into google. Sure enought, it gave me that post as the first result. I went there and the forums looked different, even though it was 100% the post I was looking for. So at first I thought Bethesda has just changed to a light theme (the place I was in also had a very good skyrim graphics on the top). But when I tried to log (using my Bethesda password, which the phishing site now has) I realized I was not in the official forums. The site is: "game skyrim .com" (with no spaces). I put spaces so that it does not make a link of it and people go and become compromised. Further investigation revealed that they have copied the ENTIRE BETHESDA FORUMS WORD BY WORD! I randomly searched 20 posts from the official forums, and 95% of the time I arrived at the phishing site. Morever, an antivirus check I ran revealed a trojan, quite possibly from that site. The content is the same, but they changed avatars and usernames. Now how can they have gotten all those posts? has the Bethesda database been hacked? it also has newer dawnguard posts, so possibly the hacker is still accessing the database. If that's so, Bethesda needs to issue a warning to all users to change their passwords!! TLDR: EVERY POST MADE IN OFFICIAL FORUM ALSO ENDS UP IN THE PHISHING WEBSITE AND GOOGLE TAKES UERS TO THERE! WITH EVERY POST SOMEONE MAKES HERE WE ARE HELPING THE HACKERS! BETHESDA PLEASE DO SOMETHING
anyway haha this reminded me of this: http://facepunch.com/threads/1132171 (Creepy Fallout Forum) I guess hackers are continuing the same thing lol
This is computer-illiteracy gold.
Is this that site where everyone has a picture of "themselves" as their avatar? That shit was weird.
Is this that site where everyone has a picture of "themselves" as their avatar? That shit was weird.
yeah it has like asian women, shirtless tatooed ppl, and more as their avatars lol
Seriously, never go on the "official" forums. They are awful. The Bioware Social Network will make you want to kill yourself.
Comparing two threads: http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1395415-create-your-own-guild-idea/ (real) http://www.gameskyrim.com/create-your-own-guild-idea-t267164.html (fake) They changed usernames and avatars, but the text of the posts is somewhat the same. Weird.
It's a fake, "farming" forum. It's supposed to be found by clueless people, who then register on it, and provide their information for the forum's owner. From then on, you get your shit hijacked.
That fake fallout forum now redirects to http://bubblygirlgames.com/.
This is pretty common with big forums, believe it or not it's only a matter of time before facepunch has a clone made up entirely of partially clothed and colored women

It's old news bro. There's an Fallout 3 version of it too.

Every time people visit the site the owner gets money because of the advertisements on the site.
