[quote]“Dear children, I regrettably bring bad tidings. For some time now, melting ice here in the North Pole has made our operations and our day-to-day life intolerable and impossible and there may be no alternative but to cancel Christmas,” Santa warned in the Greenpeace video.

Better than the alternative. "Santa won't be bringing you presents cause you're poor."

Father Christmas lives in Lappland, you fucking hackie sackers.
Best bit of my childhood was Christmas.
Fuck anyone who ruins it for anyone else.
I'm not sure what exactly Greenpeace is wrong for, by using Santa to bring attention to an environmental issue.
The sea ice extent is still hundreds of miles away from the North Pole, Santa should be good for now. Though I'd recommend moving operations to Greenland's nice sturdy glacier.
This is some cartoon-level villainy.

So is making children cry to further your own agenda.
It's like something Snidely Whiplash would have done.

i'd rather them be crying than living on a planet that might not sustain them, tbh.

(Some) Children crying because of an advert they saw?
Honestly ask yourself this: "Did I make a strong argument?"
no spoilers please

Ask yourself this: is making children cry an effective way of spreading your message?
greenpeace is dumb

No, he lives somewhere in Nunavut, why else would people write letters to
Santa Claus
North Pole
H0H 0H0
Canada
Every year?
Seriously, if you write a letter to Santa with that address and postal code from anywhere in the world, Canada Post will send you back a letter from "Santa."

global warming is dumb

There's the huge problem of climate change, and your counterargument to greenpeace using santa is "It might upset some children"?
Think of a better reason. Is that really the only reason? It's horribly weak and shit.
Would your opinion be different if a different organization done this?

He'd only have a few decades in Greenland, though. That glacier's receding more rapidly now than it has been.

Greenpeace is against nuclear fusion research so I guess they're fine with the idea of global warming.

My opinion would be no different than if the White House or Westminster or the fucking Vatican did it.
The point is, all this does is turn people further against them. They need to pick a better method.

greenpeace does not support ecological destruction, therefore they are in favor of ecological destruction
