This reminds me of Sonic in the sense that the characters can just fucking fly whenever they want; they don't need karts/cars.
The.... graphics look nice? Other then that its a generic cart game...
Why does the "Coming Soon" have the trademark sign with it saying it's owned by Blizzard and Valve?
Anyway, what engine is this running on?
As depressing as it is, you are at least not forced to play it.
Looks O.K for a free game, even if it is a bit generic.
Oh lord.

Soon meaning Valve Time and what not.
Looks pretty high quality for an indie game. Sad to see people wasting their talent.

Don't see how it's wasted talent. If they enjoy what they're doing, and other people enjoy it too, then it's not wasted. If things didn't work that way, we could say something like "I don't like Cod and Battlefield, the devs wasted months of their lives".
Anyway, what engine is this running on?
It runs on Ogre. The game is open-source, so you can actually compile and run it yourself. It's pretty impressive what they have done so far.
I wish the team the best in luck with this project.

Blizzard and Valve always do the whole "soon™" thing when they announce stuff that isn't coming out "soon". It's because they always use soon, but soon ends up not being soon and actually being soon-ish, which is like soon but not really soon.

I'm not one for MLP, but to say they're wasting their talent is absurd and you should feel bad.
As long as they don't stick an online feature in it I'll be fine with it.
(because that'd mean some friend of mine somewhere will probably harass me to play it with them then.)

They stated that multiplayer is pretty low priority, mostly because they don't want to deal with net-code.
Looks fun, i'd play it.
Also the "soon is a trademark of blizzard and valve" thing was great.
As much as I dislike the whole MLP thing, I can't say this looks bad.
Geez, and I used to think that Touhou fans shoved their fandom into everything. Then came the bronies...
THEY ARE FUCKING HORSES! How (I am not even going to ask why, that fandom is beyond any reason) would this even work? Why would they even need carts, can't they just run faster than them?

Because (insert overly long and stupid argument about how a supposedly well written show for little girls has changed their life and is the greatest form of media ever created by man.).
I can't think of one thing that ponies haven't been incorporated into.

Death metal.
Death metal.
Nope. Nothing is sacred anymore.
too bad that it has come to this
Death metal.
Actually that was one of the first things that it got mixed up with.

From the FAQ:
Why are they riding in vehicles? Why don't they just run around instead?
Firstly you wouldn't be able to have anything like drifting. Secondly, how would you even balance that? How could you make sure a character who can fly faster than the speed of sound has an equal chance of winning as a character who's scared of her own shadow? You couldn't. The karts serve as a sort of "equalizer" to make sure the characters are all "fair". No wings and no magic.
At least they seem to have handled the jump from 2d to 3d well, I suppose. Most people trying that tend to tumble down the uncanny valley and never return.
...Weren't there also some pony guys working on a fighting game a while ago? What happened to that? The concept of pastel-colored avatars of friendship tossing aside negotiation and throwing down the fucking gauntlet seemed like it would have been amusing.
This is somewhat unrelated but it reminds me, there hasnt been a HIB for a while (relatively), this next one will probably be insane.
And this must be a day for bronies to rejoice, cause it looks like its well made. I just don't care about it.

Guns? (I hope)
Guns? (I hope)
I'm pretty sure I saw some shitty mlp reskins of css guns on gamebanana not too long ago.

I mean actual firearms. Also I don't think they spread past crappy tf2 skins when it comes to retextures. (again at least I hope)

You have to appreciate how perfectly it matches the show's artstyle
