Alright, my fear has slowly been coming true. My PC is becoming outdated. My graphic's card is getting seriously outdated, it's a NVIDIA 8600GT. [QUESTION]Should I get the NVIDIA 9800 GTX+ Is it worth the money? I mean, my computer lags out during a simple game of Left 4 Dead! I think my processor is alright. It's a AMD Anthlon(tm)64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4200+ Could that processor run Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress 2 etc? Could that Processor run that with the NVIDIA 9800GTX+? I really want to play without the constant lag spikes or just plain lag. I will not be getting these parts immediately. I need to plan ahead and save up some cash. My main goal is having a cheap, but very good PC that can run games such as Left 4 Dead. Suggestions and info will be appreciated! -Thanks
I think your processor is outdated too, because when you buy NVIDIA 9800, it will be too fast to your processor. If you want cheap and good PC, buy some AMD phenom II processor, graphic's card for example some ATI radeon 5xxx, but how many RAM do you have?
2.21 GHz, 512 MB Also, can that other AMD processor you suggested run with a NVIDIA? Sorry I just prefer NVIDIA more. But, if the ATI is good then I probably with go for that.
Are you saying you have a 2.21 GHz processor and 512mb of RAM? If so then you need to get more RAM, at least 2GB. Also you may want to overclock your CPU as 2.2 GHz is a bit slow for games like left for dead. You wouldn't notice much improvement if you got a new GPU because your current components would throttle it, a new build is probably the answer. If you do want to get a new one though I suggest this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102834&cm_re=4850-_-14-102-834-_-Product
New computer.
New computer.
No, that's not an option. You think this will be good? Processor : AMD Phenom 9750 X4 2,4 GHz Video Card : Nvidia Geforce 9600GT Motherboard : Asus M2N-MX SE + Ram : 2x1 Gb Kingston Power supply : 500 w
Yeah, that should play Left 4 Dead just fine. Don't tell me this is a whole new computer though.
