Hi, I'm going to be building a new PC soon, I just want some advice on if these parts will work well together: CPU : Intel Core i5 2500, S1155, Sandy Bridge, Quad, 3.3GHz Link GPU : EVGA 1280MB GeForce GTX 570 HD DS NVIDIA Link Mother Board : ASUS P8H77-V LE S1155 Intel H77 DDR3 SATA 3 Link RAM : Corsair CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB 1600MHz CL9 DDR3 Vengeance Link PSU : Powercool PCPC650AUBA 650W Power Supply 80+ Certified Link Thanks a lot.
What is your budget? You could go with the new Ivy bridge i5. The GTX 660ti is also a fair bit better than the GTX 570.
If I were you, I'd swap that PSU out with one from Corsair, Antec, or SeaSonic. The PSU you selected looks like an IED.
I was thinking the PSU looks a bit dodgy, and my budget is about £650
Yeah, it's definitely dodgy. Swap it out with a quality brand.
What would you recommend? Something that stays within a nice price range?
I used this list when looking for a power supply, and I ended up choosing this, which has worked for about a year. A little out of date though, but it helped guide my research/choice
Okay, so I've swapped the PSU for a Coolermaster thanks to that sheepboy. So, would this system actually work then?
I'd get a corsair, seasonic or antec.
