But the Experience drivers aren't even the right ones, right now it tells me the latest ones are from like 3 months ago even though there's been numerous updates since then.
On a side note. The last few driver releases have been ass. The newest one for the Battlefront Beta took my FPS in Witcher 3 from a steady 60fps all the time to dipping down into the 40s and even 30s. my Firestrike benchmark score went from 14000 to 10000 (can't remember the exact numbers)
god fuck no, the reason i download from nvidia website it because they're always the uptodate drives, and windows 10 awful update system which want to install drives for a GeForce 9400 GT ????
GeForce Experience is fucking terrible. On most PC's it wont even open if you have opened the battle.net client, you have to restart to open GFX
The only reason I'd use geforce experience is because of shadowplay but it doesn't work properly for me so there's that.
do I need to get my xxx_tonyAbbott email out again? it's where I put my bullshit [editline]16th October 2015[/editline]
The only reason I'd use geforce experience is because of shadowplay but it doesn't work properly for me so there's that.
I found out it had a video clipper a few days ago, While Xbox DVR also has one, the application doesn't record audio if you're using 5/7.1 audio devices pity
Changes nothing for me, I need Experience for Shadowplay anyway
Well this sucks, I always untick Experience when I update my drivers.
The only reason I'd use geforce experience is because of shadowplay but it doesn't work properly for me so there's that.
And the sad part is you don't even need experience to use the on-board encoder, you can use OBS to snap off shadowplay-style recordings with custom settings using the chip.
I haven't had any problems with Experience myself, but it does seem like that's not the case for a lot of people. Not too fond of giving them my mail for no good reason either, but I'd begrudgingly agree if that's as much personal data as they're gonna pry from me. Not that I'd have much of a choice by the looks of it, what with Experience/email registration seemingly becoming mandatory and ATI sinking.
I literally cannot turn shadow-play on without bluescreening across 2 gpu's now because Experience is a shit program [editline]16th October 2015[/editline] thank god for windows 10's recording, it's pretty great actually [editline]16th October 2015[/editline] how could nvidia be so stupid that they would actually FORCE people to use such an awful program
Last time I downloaded via Experience, my GPU ended up shitting on fullscreen games sans Frostbite engine based games. Had to completely uninstall and reinstall my drivers after that. All in all, fuck Experience. I keep it for Shadowplay and that's about it.
I mean holy hell every time I update with nvidia experience my entire computer BLUESCREENS
I've had so many problem with drivers lately. The last 3 times I've installed the latest drivers it destroys my shit and I have to load a backup.
I don't even see a real need for Exp anyways unless you use Shadowplay but even then there's probably better streaming programs out there like OBS.
I've had no problems with the latest Nvidia drivers or Geforce Experience, I guess I'm just lucky.
Please no I have never installed geforce experience, and I don't want to! Please my computers anus is fine.
seems like alot of the issues with geforce experience are on windows 10.
seems like alot of the issues with geforce experience are on windows 10.
windows 7, 8.1 or 10, gtx 770 and 970 I've had huge issues across every one of these
Because nvidia a shit at anything UX
"NVIDIA product news and announcements, and have the chance to win hardware, free game codes, early access to game betas, and other cool stuff."
Wow, they want to push email ads onto everyone. Really? It's not enough that I bought your product?
But the Experience drivers aren't even the right ones, right now it tells me the latest ones are from like 3 months ago even though there's been numerous updates since then.
Mine are from the 7th of this month, as shown by Geforce. So I think it's on your end [editline]16th October 2015[/editline]
I've had no problems with the latest Nvidia drivers or Geforce Experience, I guess I'm just lucky.
No, you're the norm. It's just that everyone like to post anecdotes and make that seem like the norm.
No, you're the norm. It's just that everyone like to post anecdotes and make that seem like the norm.
except for the fact that if you go to nvidia support pages, quite a shitload of people are having the same issues I've and many people have personally had, and my computer is solid and stable [editline]16th October 2015[/editline] some people will be lucky but across multiple reformats, windows versions and 2 GPU's I continue to have issues with NVE that I have with no other program I've used I've upgraded my drivers hundreds of times, ran my computer on unrecommended settings in 4k and yet mysteriously NVE seems to be the one thing that bluescreens my computer
8.1 w/ a 970 and seeing no issues on mine and I've had Experience installed from the very start.
I wish I knew why it was messing up first time I used it shadowplay had no issues but it sort of just crapped itself as time went on haven't changed any specs either
Experience works fine for me except for the part where game optimization usually means putting everything in the game on the highest possible even if my PC can't handle it, such in GTA5 optimization ends up making it use more Vram than I have available.
So after testing on two different computers, NVE runs and Shadowplay works, but if I try to update my drivers using NVE it fucks the drivers up and forces a restart, after which I'm forced to install them by hand while running at 640x480 res. I've tried uninstalling the drivers before installing the new ones and using the "clean installation" option, neither helped. Driver install always breaks through NVE. The settings it gives me for most games are way too high and cause framerate dips. I'd rather run low and get consistant 60fps than high with stuttering, something you'd think nvidia would understand.

And here's me, still running extremely old drivers because otherwise I can't get more than 25FPS on Battlefield 4
I've never had any of the problems mentioned in this thread, running on Win10 64bit [editline]17th October 2015[/editline]
god fuck no, the reason i download from nvidia website it because they're always the uptodate drives, and windows 10 awful update system which want to install drives for a GeForce 9400 GT ????
I have not had Win10 force me to download drivers since the month it came out. I think they stopped doing that.
