The National Transportation Safety Board apologizes for inaccurate and offensive names that were mistakenly confirmed as those of the pilots of Asiana flight 214, which crashed at San Francisco International Airport on July 6.
Earlier today, in response to an inquiry from a media outlet, a summer intern acted outside the scope of his authority when he erroneously confirmed the names of the flight crew on the aircraft.
The NTSB does not release or confirm the names of crewmembers or people involved in transportation accidents to the media. We work hard to ensure that only appropriate factual information regarding an investigation is released and deeply regret today's incident.
Reminds me of Orchestra when we figured out "Tai Mai Shu" is not only a perfectly valid Chinese name, but there's probably a couple thousand of them out there.
"Ho Lee Fuk"

I'm korean and even I laughed extensively.
I don't know man. This was really offensive of them to air this on live television. I can't blame them though since it wasn't their fault however.
Shiiit aren't those all from like some picture from a couple years ago?
I didn't understand what was going on with the names when I first saw this news. I thought the names were just offensive because news outlets were in a rush to report first (which I'm sure was the case).
It wasn't until reading it just now on Facepunch that I noticed the naming convention behind it. I laughed now.

Easier to just read the script than go off the cuff.
I'm absolutely ashamed at myself for laughing, but I hope that intern's ass is grass.

I like to slip in question marks at the end of non-question sentences on the Tele-Prompter.
