Damnit games for windows live >.< thats stopped me from buying this
I love Fable:TLC but download through WindowsLive? Go to hell Lionhead.
So no retail? Or Steam? Just ... GFWL? :ohdear:
Uh, this information has been known. The release date for the PC version has always been in December, two months behind console release. This has been on wikipedia for the longest time.
It's coming, be patient. They never said it'd be a simultaneous release.
[editline]18th November 2010[/editline]
It appears I was mistaken, the release date being TBA up to this point.
Either way, nothing out of the ordinary.
As long as it's retail and I can install it on multiple computers with Gabe Newell watching me, I'm fine with this.

I have never seen GFWL be annoying except when the game is pirated.
It should still be released on steam. I mean fuck, bioshock 2 had GFWL on the steam version and I was ok with it considering I already have an XBL account.
What's wrong with GFWL?
What's wrong with GFWL?
Nothing in particular except that it takes for fucking ever to download an update.
I'd rather have them working on this a little longer instead of a shoddy port.

Don't kid yourself. It's probably already done. They might even have a gold version of the disc ready for copying.
It's never about time. Give a company all the time in the world and if they're shitty at porting, the port will still be shit. The important factors are the people working, and who's paying them (or rather, how much they're paying them).
What sucks is that someone's probably paying them more than enough to do a decent job, but the port will probably be complete shit. Oh well, if you want to be a PC gamer in today's market, this is just the kind of shit you have to deal with.
GFWL is a resource hog and just a pain in the ass to use in general.
Not to mention it's fucking USELESS.
Plus if you aren't connected to the internet you can't play your games. Sorry laptop users.
Well, I believe they're pretty much redoing GFWL, so maybe it'll get better.

Well they've re-done it a couple times by now and it's gotten progressively worse. Halo 2 doesn't even work any more, the newest GFWL UI cripples it and makes it absolutely unplayable.
Not that Halo 2 matters any more, but still. Fixing things doesn't seem to be high on their to-do list.

I haven't used it before, but this:
The biggest differentiator between Games for Windows — LIVE and Steam is access control. Steam controls access to games you download from Steam by requiring an online verification to play those games. If your Steam account is stolen or banned, access to your entire collection of games downloaded from Steam could be lost.
On the other hand, Games for Windows — LIVE does not control access to you collection through online verification. You can install your games anywhere and play your games offline without online verification. You can also launch games directly without running the Games for Windows — LIVE client. The only time you have to connect to Games for Windows — LIVE is when you want to receive LIVE services. Then Games for Windows - LIVE does verify that your account is authorized to play the game on Games for Windows — LIVE.
doesn't sound so bad...

They fail to mention that all games that use GFWL use the GFWL d3d overlay, the GUI I was referring to in the previous post. It is this GUI which actually fucks up most games, including Halo.
So will it come out? Or it will be canceled randomly.
Too bad about the GFWL thing, won't stop me from buying the game though, TLC was awesome.

Then download it off the website? Jesus, people nit picking over nothing. Personally I don't see anything wrong with GFWL, it's always worked for me.
Games for windows live? then you can fuck off ill rather go with a skidrow.

steam steam steam steam
I don't like Live because some games have used it to restrict you from saving your game unless you're online and logged in to your GFWL account.
steam steam steam steam
You can play offline with Steam.
Fuck GMFL, I can't play Chaos Rising multiplayer anymore because of it.

Gfwl*
I have never seen GFWL be annoying except when the game is pirated.
Funny because when you pirate, gfwl is either completely disabled or is "cracked" so it does nothing but save game and all that jizz.

I do have to retort here.
Yes Steam requires online activation for games to be played, but it does offer an online mode. As long as you have logged in once, you will be logged in forever (if you choose to auto-login). Secondly, since both Steam and GFWL are download services it's obvious the user will have access to the internet at least at some period of time. So really that point is moot.
The thing about being banned and stolen is true, but once again not entirely that big of a deal. If you get banned it is most likely your fault (for hacking or doing scam trades in TF2, a very small portion of the Steam experience in itself). I do agree that sometimes bans aren't justified, but 99% of the time if you are banned, it's your own fault.
Stolen accounts can be returned, but I'll give them that point.

Dumb cosmetic item trades should not get your whole account disabled, losing everything.
just put it on steam, anything rather then games for windows live!
Why couldn't they have released it at the same time with the console versions?
