holy shit this will run on my 940m laptop
I'm honestly surprised that my GTX 670 is listed as "recommended". Can't complain tho!
Are you in pole position or in need of a pit stop?
How to tell when an author has 0 experience with racing.
Don't forget that the game is 100GB as well and with Microsoft's encryption stuff you need like 200GB free iirc.

is this gonna be like apex where it's a demo with only 7 or 8 tracks and a limited selection of cars? I loved what little I got to play of Forza 6 on PC but it was kinda lame cause it cuts you off as a promo for forza on xbone

The super low requirements show just how underpowered consoles are, I guess.
Giving me the impression that it's optimized better than Horizon 3 - Here's to hoping that's the case.
The super low requirements show just how underpowered consoles are, I guess.
It also shows how much better developers have gotten at optimizing and making the most out of low end hardware. That benefits everyone in the long run.
holy shit this will run on my 940m laptop
a day of rejoicing for us toaster owners

now the one thing they need to do better than fh3 is wheel support, I still can't use my 700 euro setup properly in the game.
Didn't Horizon just come out? Is it worth waiting for this or are they two different types of games(i.e. is motorsport going to be a straight upgrade or a racing game with a different focus)

If you like a laid-back racing game with a big open world, get Horizon 3. Thankfully you can taste a bit of both by trying out Forza Apex (free version of Forza Motorsport 6) and the demo for Forza Horizon 3, both avaiable on the UWP.
FM7 should also be a graphical upgrade.
It also shows how much better developers have gotten at optimizing and making the most out of low end hardware. That benefits everyone in the long run.
It probably helps that they're basically designing the game for an underpowered prebuilt PC running a stripped-down Windows 10. I wouldn't expect the specs to be nearly as low if they were porting it from, say, the PlayStation 3 where everything was super fucky.

Is it worth waiting for this or are they two different types of games(i.e. is motorsport going to be a straight upgrade or a racing game with a different focus)
They are somewhat different games. Horizon is open world with arcadey handling, on and off-road events, every car from a 500kg Morgan 3 Wheeler to an 8 tonne APC, and absurd showcases like racing speedboats and aircraft. It's family friendly. Motorsport leans more towards realism, has a range of real life race tracks as well as some fictional and urban race circuits, and a much larger variety of actual race cars; GT3 and GTE, Le Mans and Dayota prototypes, historic GT, V8 Supercars, world touring cars, Formula e, Formula 1, IndyCar, Can-Am, historic Formula 1 and I can go on and on and on. [editline]19th June 2017[/editline]
FM7 should also be a graphical upgrade.
It will have 250 more cars at launch than FM6 at launch, half of the cars probably being from FM6 DLC and FH3 additions, and the other half probably being new. There's more tracks and now apparently more than 200 circuit configurations, and it finally has dynamic time and weather. Graphics upgrades are a given, seeing as they're going to have it run at 4K 60fps on the new Xbox. No I was not paid to make this post if anyone was wondering. Is it so hard to believe that the graphical quality of the XB1 version will surpass the bare minimum graphical settings available for PC players?
