This video is particularly unrelated to the song it contains (though still epic), but what would this genre of music be called? It interests me, and I enjoy the sound of it.
I think its that aboriginal throat singing thing. Not sure what you'd call it.

Eagle catches wolf. That is a fucking badass name for a song. This totally needs a death metal cover too, the vocals are there already.

Sounds fucking hillarious.
It's actually Mongolian Throat Singing or Tuvan Throat Singing. It's not very popular anymore, but used to be quite so. Here's a rather humorous sounding portrayal of it [editline]8th December 2010[/editline] Here's an informational video on it. That is some strange, but unique music.
Thanks everyone for the help, but just in case you may think I am referring to the introduction, I mean the song that takes up the majority of the video. The introduction sounds more like the Mongolian throat singing than the rest of the video, unless that is the same thing just with clear vocals added in.
I think it's just a mixing of throat singing with folk music. The instrumentation still sounds like traditional Eastern music. The best labeling for this music would probably be Mongolian Folk. I don't know for sure, but I feel that this is a relatively educated guess.

Lol, thanks everyone. Now to hunt some more of this down.
