• Smoking pot next weekend for the first time.

I'm turning 18 next week, and my friend wants me to smoke with her and two of my other friends because I've never done it before. Two of them are pretty hardcore stoners and have been wanting me to try it for a while. I've been curious, and now that I've got a job and I don't have to drug test then I think I'll be good. Also, my parents are pretty anti-drugs even though my dad used to toke back in the 70's when he was my age. I'm really only worried about how to get away with it without my parents' suspicion. It's a long weekend, so there's plenty of time. We'd be doing it at this one girl's house, her parents don't care if we smoke. I was wondering if I should just bring two shirts. Like wear a button up shirt, go over there and smoke in a separate button up shirt and then put my original shirt back on. We'll probably be out doing stuff later that day, so I'll just take a shower pretty soon after I get home. Also, I'm planning on getting some visine just in case I get red eyes. Anything else I need to be weary of? I just want to be functional driving back home later that day. How long does it last if I inhale right having never been stoned / toked in my life? I heard roughly 2 hours if you do it right. Will my state of behavior be recognizably different after those 2 hours or so are up? Thanks DD!
90-150 minutes, depending how much and what kind. Gum, cologne, and eye drops and you'll be fine.
Alright sweet, that's doable. She never calls anyways, she always just texts. I'll probably just grab a cigar or something afterwards to cover up any other smoking smell. Damn parents need to give me some freedoms though son! I guess I have to be a 'good role model' for my little brother so they keep me on a somewhat short leash even though I've always been a pretty damn good kid. I'm definitely looking forward to this. This girl I'm doing it with's boyfriend deals, so it should be somewhat good stuff. To be personally honest, I wouldn't know the difference between the good shit and the bad shit.
I'd recommend trying driving in an empty area first, some people just can't drive high. I can to a certain extent, but I can tell when I'm just too baked to drive. My rule of thumb pretty much is if I have any genuine doubt about my ability to do it, I wait until I'm sobered up a little bit to do it. Normally getting up and getting ready to leave gets me into a state that I can drive in though. [editline]15th October 2010[/editline] Also, just a tip with inhaling, my first time my friend had me pretty much inhale, take a big-ish breath of air, and then slowly exhale through your nose. I still do it on big hits, really minimizes coughing.

If it gets you high in 1-2 hits, then it's probably pretty dank. Also, brown weed, known as schwag, is what you need to avoid (in most cases). Schwag is low quality, but it's dirt cheap. Also, don't be so paranoid. If you smoke outside, 15-20 min is enough to remove the smell from you. Eyedrops aren't a must, unless you have to be somewhere within an hour and a half of smoking.
A good site to go to is here. A lot of information for a person new to smoking. http://smokingwithstyle.com/ You may or may not be fine to drive, really depends on when you smoke and how screwed up you get. It affects people differently. The first couple of times I smoked I got a crazy lag effect where my actions would be 2-5 seconds behind. So I'd go to respond to someone and finding myself watching me say the response 2-5 seconds later which is really unusual. Made playing beer pong very interesting because my fate was sealed before I started moving. Which makes me wonder if my actions were lagged or if my vision and hearing were lagged. Your first time can and probably will last a lot longer than usual two hours, but you'll be sober enough in at the least 4 hours. If you feel too high to drive, then don't drive. If you're getting visual effects, I really suggest not driving. A lot of people could probably easily handle that, but when it's your first time you may not want to take the chance. Honestly, acting normal won't be an issue at all. You'll let yourself go around your friends of course, but you can usually snap into a normal mood any time you want. Your friends will show you how to smoke. Never exhale into the piece, you always want to inhale. On exhale when your mouth is pointing away from the piece. If you're going to cough, cough away from the piece. Many new people end up blowing the bowl by exhaling into the piece. Take hits that you can get down easy. Don't take a big hit because you'll likely cough. Don't swallow the hit and your goal is to get the smoke to your lungs which is pretty easy. If possible smoke from a bong because pipes are really harsh for new smokers.
With time, you'll learn to differentiate between the good and bad stuff. A lot of times you can tell by smell and how it looks, but there has been many times where the weed doesn't seem like it would be good, but happens to be really dank. What was annoying here is that you can get an 1/8 for $25. Danks are $50 but they aren't worth the price at all. Up in college, the mids are $40-50 but they are so much better than the danks from back home. And then the danks there are really good. I feel like I'm rambling.

Driving on drugs is actually a very simple thing if you know what you're doing. You have to be extremely aware of what the drug will do to you and how it will make you perceive your car. With weed, everything may feel slow, and as a result you will be compelled to drive slow. Watch your speedometer and just make sure you're always at the speed limit. Make sure to pay extra attention to everything, you're on drugs, you don't want to fuck up. If it was your first time I wouldn't suggest driving while high, but after 2 hours, I think you'd have come down enough to do alright. If you aren't confident in your ability to drive, though, then don't. Hope this helps.
yeah, that or you throw up. i've seen it happen. i also love how that site is supposed to impart style upon people but it has that obnoxious electricity sound when you mouse over the links on the side [editline]15th October 2010[/editline] in response to
Swallowing smoke isn't good for you, but it's fun. Swallowing smoke makes my stomach very queasy. I found that my body will force me to swallow the smoke after a night of really large hits. Seems like a mechanism to protect the throat. Which leads me to say that if your stomach hurts or you feel like you're going to puke, start burping. It'll relieve the pressure and you'll likely just burp up all the smoke and air you swallowed.
Yeah, puking could happen after swallowing smoke. I've never puked from swallowing smoke, but I've come close...
Puking is the worst.
I've never puked on pot but I know I wouldn't like it. I can just imagine how the high would intensify the taste of the puke. Er, I need to stop thinking about puking because it is making me want to puke.
Me neither, but it's bound to happen. Drinking, and then smoking pot, makes me pretty fucking nauseous...
Swallowing smoke isn't good for you, but it's fun. You can burp the smoke back up, and it just seems cool
I remember doing that once I didn't actually know I had, finished my bowl, moved out of the room and burped a little "Oh, that's smoke. Cool."
Dude don't drive until you've come down from the high. Anyone asks say traffic.
