While I agree that's pretty stupid, the equal signs annoy the shit out of me. I hate armchair activism with a passion, and I hate people who follow the "fads" on facebook blindly liking, sharing, posting, and changing their picture to shit for no reason other than "everybody else is doing it."
I mean, what does it change? Nothing. It doesn't spread awareness, it doesn't garner support, it doesn't provide funding, all it does is get teenagers to change their pokemon profile pictures from like two years ago for about a week.Nobody really cares, if they did they'd be out actually doing something about it, not changing their bleeding profile picture on facebook for a couple days.
Maybe I'm just a grumpypuss or something, I don't know. Totally agree with the message, I'm all for equality, but fuck this social media activism bullshit.
