How are the private broadcasters? Are they as annoying as I the United States or downright corrupt like in Italy?
What I am shocked by this is that it was shut down with no consultation or debate in parliament beforehand. I hope the BBC can't just be shut down like this.

I doubt this will happen, the BBC provides quality programming and is a big part of the British national identity
