Is there any way i can stop this? Help is needed, it shuts down and 105 degrees seens a "tad" much... SpeedFan doesn't work on changing fan speeds.
Do you rest the laptop on like a bed or anything?
Nope, a wood desk. I keep putting stuff to keep it above the ground and keep the exhasut free, but it doesn't work in the long run
All you can do is clean the heat-sink or get a laptop cooler.
Make sure you clean all the dust out, and open it out and dust it out. Also what IpHa said. You can get some pads with fans that blow air upwards.
You could try underclocking it if none of the above ways work.
Take the heatsink off the CPU and check if it uses one of those stupid cooling pads instead of thermal paste. Mine had one of those pads and the CPU would overheat if it was under load for a significant period of time. If it does have one of those cooling pads, scratch it off the heatsink and use some thermal paste instead.
105??? Yeah i know how you feel. Do what the above users said, and invest in a goddamn cooling pad
