• Assuming Nick Clegg keeps his word, which laws would you want scrapped or modified?

Nick Clegg recently said that he would call referendums on repealing laws which are unpopular with the public. Assuming this isn't some publicity stunt, which laws would you want repealed or modified? The poll is multiple choice by the way. Also if I missed something out (which I inevitabley will have) post it as well.
Anyone voting for Gun Control or Congestion Charge is a moron
I doubt the conservatives would let this through. [editline]05:55PM[/editline] Uh most probably CCTV laws. Ah forgot about the DEB.
Loli laws, cuz with facepunch, how do I know who and who will not post it? And the DEB, that annoys me. Bassicly, anything that infringes our rights on the interweb!
lol people care about the loli laws
I really don't care for CCTV laws, If I leave my house into the public, it's the public.
lol people care about the loli laws
it's a drawing name one person who will be exploited by a drawing **anticipates comedy hurr answers**
The electoral system needs to be electronic and not ticking a piece of paper, we saw the problem it caused by hundreds of people not being able to vote because of queues. No ID is asked when voting, so even having a unique number for online voting would work, that way the queues would be reduced and more people would vote.
Digital Economy Bill, for obvious reasons Cannabis Laws because it needs to be tackled in a similar manner to anti smoking rather than like heroin CCTV laws are a tricky one. Tax-exempt religious organisations again I'd have to consider The Electoral system has its failings but at the same time has a very good history as far as legitimacy and corruption. Just need more preparation I wouldn't call gun control laws at any stretch unpopular in the UK right now. Most people that want a gun for sport can get one, most people who want a gun for other matters can't. People will always bend the system no matter how tight the net is
Gun control laws would literally be political suicide for all involved.
the fear would be to accidentally reinvoke laws similar to the sus laws of the 80's
it's a drawing name one person who will be exploited by a drawing
Yeah that law is fairly pointless.
Digital Economy Bill: Definately Cannabis Laws: Probably wouldn't smoke it even if it was legal Loli laws: Don't care CCTV laws: Maybe, although I do see the point of having them Congestion charge: I don't go to London Tax-exempt religious organisations: Yes Overdraft charges: I don't borrow money that I can't pay back immediately Gun control laws: No, less guns = good The Electoral system: Yeah, the current system is flawed
Changing gun control would be silly. People are scared to leave the house for fear of being stabbed, imagine if people had guns too?
Cannabis, cannabis and cannabis. [editline]07:24PM[/editline] and cannabis.
none at all I like the laws are they are
Free weed.
Could someone expand on the CCTV laws?
cannabis because that seems like a long term good thing.
Digital Economy Bill, Cannabis Laws, Tax-exempt religious organisations and The Electoral system. Britain will never legalise gun ownership, ever.
DEB Yes Cannabis doesn't affect me. Same with Loli CCTV doesn't seem to do much except produce grainy images that could be virtually anyone if the miscreant isn't a moron. Religious organisations and congestion charges don't affect me. Overdraft and gun control are fine imo. The electroal system... god knows what they'd do to it. A change might help us, but I fear they might just fix it in their favour (and I they don't the Tories more than likely will) single transferrable vote might be a nice idea, but look at italy... they've not had a single party leadership in a long time.. corruption is rife and nothing ever gets done.
fucking digital economy man I also voted for gun control, because guns are pretty neat. Apart from when they kill people. Which is their primary purpose.
Britain will never legalise gun ownership, ever.
You can own guns already.
The only one I could give a fuck about is the digital economy bill, since that's the only one that really affects me that much.
You can own guns already.
Fine, the right to bear arms in public.
You can own guns already.
but mommy i want a deagle because its like the best gun ever
I voted for what I would change in my country, so I chose gun control. Since airsoft guns are some kind of guns, I'd love to change that. They should be legal here, as long as they have things to identify them.
Big ones for me are: DEB, Cannabis law (we're so close, like cali), and gun laws (I have a little bit of redneck in me, and just firing a handgun at a range would be great).
digital economy bill and weed and by congestion charge, does that mean remove it?
Anyone voting for Gun Control or Congestion Charge is a moron
I agree with you on the second point, but when guns were restricted in 97 gun crime shot up. It's a social issue and gun control legislation doesn't really effect it.
