It is a good thing to take one's time with game development; shipping a broken or imperfect product can be a negative for developer reputation. As I saw in that Unreal 3 documentary, "You can have it right, or you can have it right now..."
Good on you THQ, good on you. The more problems you get the more important it is to make sure that what you deliver is of quality.
Is THQ the only publisher left that's still releasing PC games for $49.99?
A rushed game is bad forever. A delayed game is eventually good.
Really? *Ahem* Duke Nukem *Cough*
What the...? I thought the South Park RPG game was a joke.
I thought the south park rpg project was trashed.
Really? *Ahem* Duke Nukem *Cough*
Except we don't even know if they were actively developing for all those years.
Seems more like it was delayed all those years and then rushed in the last year.
Really? *Ahem* Duke Nukem *Cough*
Basically, Duke Nukem Forever's story goes like this First build was scrapped second build was scrapped then, nothing for several years Then, Gearbox goes "AH EH WELL DO DUKE NUKEM FOREVAH" then they rushed the game and released it in a 2 years time-frame, the only thing that wasn't changed was probably the script.
Sounds like Valve. Valve games don't get released till their prefect.

First build was scrapped Secodn build was built on top of first A third goes in somewhere as well. The game is an absolutely massive mess right now. Gearbox comes in with a sheer and cries - why do we have to cut it all up. So the only thing gearbox pretty much did was cut the game up into manageable bits and pieces.
South Park definitely does not need to be made into a game.
