I want a movie based on the War of the Ancients trilogy.
But it’ll be good, right?
[del]Doubt it.[/del] I mean, if it turns out great, great. But I have my doubts, seeing as most movies based on vidya are usually poor and lacking, plus deviating from the original story.
Do you have to buy a subscription to watch it or is that just when it comes out on DVD
If it's going to be like their cinematic Pandaria trailer, then I'll be interested.
Also this reminds me wasn't someone making a full length movie with SFM?
So they hit pre-production? Fantastic.
By the way, Sam Raimi sucks donkey balls, thank god he's not involved anymore.
Blizzard has a history of canning things that don't fit the standard of quality, Hopefully if this starts turning out into a shitty movie it'll never see the light of day like Ghost and Warcraft Adventures, Though movies are a bit of a different bag I bet they have some sort of plan just in case. I don't want Warcraft any more butchered than it already is. :saddowns:
A little while after it was announced, it was planned to be a live action movie set before WoW and based on open combat between orcs and humans. Who knows what it's at now.

If it is going to be like their trailer's, I would watch the shit out of it.

This in movie format. Oh lawdy i will watch it even though i don't know batshit about the WoW universe.
Edit: Ho boy this trailer took 4-5 months to make
didn't they confirm it would be live action? if it was CGI by the team behind the expansion cinematics then oh lord it would be the best movie ever but otherwise I'm not holding out much hope
The date being so far away makes me think it will be cancelled yet again.

Like, Warcraft 1 shit? Even earlier? Duuuuuude.
I think by then WoW will be long past its peak (which it's already). Maybe with a movie and an expansion released together there will be a new age of WoW :v:.
And as much as everyone wants the movie to be like those amazing cinematics, a single cinematic takes blizzard up to a year to produce i believe. Making a complete film with that quality would take too much time and resource probably.
"WoW film, or ‘Warcraft’ as it insists everyone call it, like it’s Cher or something"
I'm sorry what? Warcraft is it's proper title you imbecile! World of Warcraft is a spin-off title...

Afaik, World of Warcraft didn't happen and is not canon to the series.
Where did you read this bullshit? WoW is canon.
As far as I'm concerned, with everything they've done to rape the lore, it isn't canon.

Agreed.
In Vanilla, killing lore-important raid bosses seemed more plausible, because it was an actual feat back then and required a lot of people and skill,
but since WOTLK came out, you could kill demigods with a group of 10 idiots, who barely knew what they were doing. It was disgraceful.
I sighed when Arthas was killed, he deserved better.

Key words being "as far as I'm concerned".

It's funny you say that because I read an interview after Cataclysm came out from two raid leaders in one of the best progression guilds in the game and they both agreed 25 man heroic Arthas was the hardest fight in the game thus far.
Vanilla raid bosses weren't even that hard until AQ and Naxx. Up to then most bosses had 2 or 3 mechanics and half the encounter was simply gearing up to do it. Hell, half the difficulty of raiding back then was the logistics of herding 40 cats together and making sure they had the right resistances and were attuned and couldn't get lost navigating to the portal. AQ had some difficult fights that required coordination and Naxx was quite difficult though.
