Not only this, at the time of this post there is increased military activity between Gothenburg and Denmark. It's track is very mysterious. I hope the Russkies don't invade us.

They are probably shadowing your vessels to train crewmen. Sweden is probably a good target of such activities because you are not likely to take any sort of action even if you do identify the vessels as being Russian/Chinese/whatever. American subs do the same thing. Often to just about any ship that enters their patrol zone. It isn't a hostile action, it is just them dicking around to train.

In fact, there was no naval ships in Gothenburg when the sub was discovered.

A civilian sonar vessel called "ICEBEAM" was off Gothenborgs coast when it picked up something moving under the water, the sonar signature was a something in the shape of a submarine. Keep in mind these civilian sonar vessels have high sensitivity sonar sensors. So if something is picked up it is not bogus.
