Here's the story, I live in Australia and I've been looking into a new computer and I was wondering whether I should get windows 7 for $299 or windows xp or windows vista as the last two would probably have price drops but I can't find anywhere that sells them! I've looked all over and I can't find a place that isn't offering a windows 7 upgrade! DAMN YOU MICROSOFT I WAS HAPPY WITH VISTA AND XP. They ruined everything. :argh:
ebay.com ?

What I needed was a reliable store.

Oh good I found a place.
Get Windows 7 OEM, it's a fraction of the price and the only downside is that it doesn't come with a manual and when you install it it "ties" to your motherboard, meaning you can only ever install it on that pc in the future.
Wait what, $299?
Get Home Premium OEM, in the UK it's like £70
Or get the student deal if you're in the uk. It's only £30.
Of course you're not going to find a place that doesn't have 7. XP is 20 years old, Vista no one cares about and 7 is arguably the best OS since 2000 Pro on the Windows line.
