Don't care if that is a parody/troll thread or not, turn his IP into the authorities.
:psyduck:
:emo: killing himself over tinnitus?
I must agree with the OP. That should be the first thing to do with ANY suicidal thread, unless it's really obviously fake. But afterall it could be real, and somebody could kill himself like that swedish guy with the webcam feed. He could've been saved. And if that someone was just trolling, it'll teach him to never make fun of suicide anymore.
I agree with the OP. May as well do it, even if it was a fake its best to be sure.
Better safe than sorry.
Must be real hard to just PM a moderator if you're so concerned about something, and it's not like the mods haven't already seen the thread anyways.

Aren't you the guy who fixed up an old radio tower to supply your neighborhood with free WiFi internet?
Aren't you the guy who fixed up an old radio tower to supply your neighborhood with free WiFi internet?
What is that to do with this?
Suicide is a choice, he's an idiot for killing himself over Tinnitus but it's none of your business. Sorry to bust the e-drama web there but this hardly deserves a violation of privacy over.
Why are you so fucking hostile? Go spy on your neighbours or find an "iPad", stop flaming everyone
Turnstone, brah.
To all you people saying better safe than sorry, what if they had decided to go there, and wasted time, and while they were gone, there were people in actual trouble who could have been saved if they weren't wasting their time, that's why prank calling authorities is so dangerous.
Suicide is a choice
sometimes i wanna ask suicidal people what it feels like to betray the combined efforts of all their ancestors and genes, and end a genetic line that has survived for billions of years since the beginning of life on earth, just because they feel that life is unfair [editline]25th November 2010[/editline] if i knew any suicidal people

Suicidal people often are in a state of depression from which they see no other escape. In fact, there are reports of people who survived jumping down from a bridge into the water below, and they all said that they regrettet their decision once it was too late to return. Think about that before you go bullshitting again. It also has nothing to do with prank calling, it's actually saving a human's life there. It's not another human's life, it's a human's life, and every life is worth saving, especially if all it takes is to jump over your own shadow and call your authorities that there's somebody about to end his life.

Even if you THINK he's dead already doesn't mean he is. Maybe he is just about to do it, and a phonecall right now would save him. I would do it myself if I had his IP, but without his IP the police can't really do anything at all.

Let me rephrase. So, a lot of people on the internet threaten to commit suicide. I think suicide is sad, but I also think that a lot of the threats online, not all of them, but most of them, are fake. If we sent police there everytime someone said they were going to kill themselves, it would be a massive waste of time, and when the police are wasting their time with the fake suicides, people actually in need might get hurt, so it would do more harm than good to call the cops. I wasn't trying to be rude if you got that message, I am just saying that it would not be beneficial to call the cops on what is most likely a troll.
This may be the internet, but that internet stuff is more intertwined with other people's lives as compared to your's.

Wouldn't it be worth saving one person even if it means that 10 trolls got reported on the way on doing so? Also it will show trolls that there are certain things you don't make fun of, they'll get a pretty nice wakeup call when the police rings at their door. It was war, he was most certainly going to get killed anyways. Also the police can in fact do something with the ip.

-snip- Turns out I may be blind.

You're really ignorant and it really seems you never thought about the actual value of life.
Yes, I see what you mean, but what I am saying is that more people will die that way overall. If the police are out looking for a troll, and somebody else dies while they are wasting their time, is it worth it if 5 people have to die while police are wasting time finding trolls, to only save 1 actual person who is serious?
