• Logitech Illuminated Keyboard - any good?

So, i'm getting tired of my shitty Trust keyboard: [img_thumb]http://www.binbin.net/photos/generic/tru/trust-slimline-keyboard-kb-1400s-uk.jpg[/img_thumb] I'm planning on buying a Logitech Illuminated keyboard. It's not a G-series keyboard, but i'm not that much of an avid gamer. I did read some reviews, but i still want somebody's own opinion. Also, as a side question, is the MX518 any good? Will i notice a difference if this is what i'm using right now?
I've got a microsoft sidewinder X6 or X8, and it's great. Takes a while to get used to, but it's really fun to type on. MX518 is a godlike mouse. Get it.
I suggest a new mouse over a new keyboard. That keyboard you posted looks a bit crappy, too. Almost like a laptop keyboard.

And i should have probably mentioned it, i'm planning on getting both the mouse and keyboard.
"It's not a G-series keyboard, but i'm not that much of an avid gamer." hahahaha trust me there's not much of a difference between their regular series and their G-series, they just slap the G on to make you think it's better for gaming. the G stands for Gimmick.
I would also recommend getting a new mouse over a new keyboard. A $7 keyboard does me just fine, but I can't stand cheap mice (especially logitech ones. The buttons always break on me.)

K. I mainly prefer this one over the G's because it doesn't look as bulky, tbh. But is it actually good?
I have a question for the MX518. How big is it? Can someone compare it to something else? Also, the K300 is kind of like a smaller cheaper version of that. Not sure if it lights up.
I have a Saitek Eclipse, myself. This one, to be exact: Makes typing in the dark really handy, since the keys light up in a crisp, soft blue. I love the thing.

you can see how big it is here, that's a 19" monitor

Actually, the price difference isn't that great, so i guess i might get the G110. I'll have to take a look in the store.
I have the no backlit version of the first keyboard and it is amazing I highly recommend it.
I have a Saitek Clavier Keyboard, and it is better than my Cyborg, much more compfy, and I dont need backlit keys as all my monitors light up my desk :v:

I don't use it and the keyboard is relatively small.
Just get a keyboard that has it's keys illuminated, A mouse makes the difference in gaming, I was a fool and bought a Razer Tarantula (However it's macro keys are useful in most RTS games I play)
I have the Logitech illuminated keyboard, its a great keyboard for typing and pretty decent for gaming too, while it looks like it has laptop keys they have a similar depression to a normal keyboard. I've been using it continuously for almost a year and have had no problems its in much the same condition it came in with no visible signs of wear and tear. Haven't used any other similarly priced keyboards so I have nothing to compare it to but I am very happy with it. The one main flaw is they keyboard doesn't work on the OS menu during startup, works fine for getting into the bios but if you are dual booting you cannot choose which you want. If you have a dual boot or plan to do one you will need another keyboard plugged in so it may be worth looking for another if you plan to do this.
I have a G15 and a MX518. Amazing combination.

I spy two useful posts. OP asked for opinions on a certain keyboard, and instead everyone's talking about how awesome their keyboard is.
http://filesmelt.com/dl/DSC_01725.JPG you can see how big it is here, that's a 19" monitor
probably not the best way of storing a700's :o
i'm sure it's fine, i keep my ms-1 on the floor
probably not the best way of storing a700's :o
huh what's wrong with that I keep them on my desk all the time
I have the Logitech Illuminated keyboard, and all I'll say is that it's a damn fine keyboard.
Oh. K. I mainly prefer this one over the G's because it doesn't look as bulky, tbh. But is it actually good?
well you need it for the backlighting right? and it is a keyboard, yes? well it should do i don't know what else there is.
I'd get it if it had a embedded lcd clock on it. And if that wrist rest is removable (I don't know if it is or isn't). [editline]02:02AM[/editline] Also where's the insert key on that keyboard.
That keyboard is very light. It felt strange.
