• Lance Armstrong sued by U.S. for post office sponsorship funds
Washington (CNN) -- The Justice Department late Tuesday formally filed its case against Lance Armstrong and his company Tailwind Sports for millions of dollars that the U.S. Postal Service spent to sponsor the cycling team. "The USPS paid approximately $40 million to sponsor the USPS cycling team from 1998 to 2004," the court document says. The government said it was intervening to recover triple the amount of the sponsorship funds under the False Claims Act, which could bring a total of more than $100 million in damages. The guy turned out to be an absolute cunt huh.
looks like the posters of him in my room are coming down.... :(
Bummer. Ole' Lance is losing everything. His titles, his money, his fame: it's all going down the loo. At this point, were I in his shoes, I'd probably start to wonder if perhaps the performance enhancers were a bit of a bad idea. [editline]24th April 2013[/editline] Nah!
Damn, the post office must be really broke.
Damn, the post office must be really broke.
With their recent stupid price raising I wouldn't doubt this. If this is even applicable to the UK. It's cheaper for our company to send out parcels on a fully tracked delivery next day guaranteed through a special courier (£6.46 up to 10kg) than it is to send out the same parcel through post office on signed-for only 1-2 days (£7.95 - £10.00 up to 2kg) They are no competition now.
Well, at least he still got his balls. Oh wait.
looks like the posters of him in my room are coming down.... :(
Why would you have posters of him? he's a biker. [editline]24th April 2013[/editline]
Damn, the post office must be really broke.
Well congress ruled they have to prepay their workers for something like the next 50 years within the next 5 years. Even for employees they haven't hired yet. Congress is trying to kill the postal service so the market is more private it seems.
Why would you have posters of him? he's a biker.
Because some people have interests that aren't video games or posting on Facepunch?
yeah what a cunt he is for donating millions to several charities literally hitler junior
Hitler also created and donated to charities sooo.... ? Winterhilfswerk and Kraft durch Freude spring to mind.
Hitler also created and donated to charities sooo.... ? Winterhilfswerk and Kraft durch Freude spring to mind.
Do you have posters of Hitler in your room?
You don't?
Do you have posters of Hitler in your room?
I have his book.
Damn, the post office must be really broke.
the post office was and still would be turning a profit if congress didn't do a dumb thing [editline]24th April 2013[/editline] also if they didn't expect it to be run like a business while requiring everything they do be approved by congress
Can't believe I bought this fuckers book. Though the whole testicular cancer thing still sucks.

Congress is trying to kill the postal service so the market is more private it seems.
This is not true. What congress did was force the post office to set aside money to fund their employees pensions. Short version- a lot of private companies use accounting tricks (such as insanely high investment rate of returns) when setting money aside for pensions. Years latter the pension fund collapses because it was not fully funded. To avoid the possibility of the taxpayer being stuck with the bill congress mandated the post office fully fund their pension plan.
why do people hate lance armstrong again? is it because he did that thing that everyone else does? [editline]24th April 2013[/editline] he didn't even cheat lol, he put himself on even footing with the other racers.

It isn't like the stuff he was using made him a skilled person, he knew how to ride and did it very well. I know many other people did the same shit he did, but the only reason he got flack for it is because he won. If Lance was doing everything he did and lost he would still be a cyclist. So stupid, when you've gone though as much as he has and as old as he is you're going to have to use supplements and other stuff to push yourself. Its kinda like body-building, at some point you reach a size and get stuck at it due to physical and biological limitations. Then you got to start taking some type of supplement or steroid to get bigger.
But he was also a horrible cunt, who was nasty to people around him. The guy is literally one of the worst high profile sportsmen in our life time.
yeah what a cunt he is for donating millions to several charities literally hitler junior
Giving money to charity won't unmake your cunt status. It's not like in Fallout 3 where giving water to a beggar makes up for erasing an entire city off the map. I wish it was like that though.
I have his book.
I have one of these Hitler picture book [editline]24th April 2013[/editline] my mum found it going through a dead reli's stuff
colour me hitler
It's the weirdest shit, this whole book dedicated to hitler and all his achievements, picked it up and couldn't put it down. it's fascinating it's even got all the postcards
People actually started hating Armstrong? That's odd. Doping in biking is insanely common. Everybody did it. I remember reading that if they rescinded the positions of all the people with suspected/confirmed doping cases, something like #26 would now be #1. The guy has testicular cancer and was a professional biker, he obviously medically needed testosterone supplements and whatnot, and I still view him as an absolute hero. Who gives a fuck if he cheated in a sport where cheating is the only way to win? He inspired millions and donated tons of money. He's a good person, no matter if he cheated in sports or not.

Zero tolerance, and whatnot.
