So by accident I clicked on one of the stock Windows 7 wallpaper selections while trying to change some settings in the custom rotation I have. When I clicked on the Windows wallpaper thing, Aero went away and went back to Windows 7 basic. How do I get back to Aero?
Fuck I hate Windows.

Wow that was easy to fix. Desktop manager was disabled. Typed aero into the start menu search field and ran 'Find and fix problems with transparency and other effects' and let it do its thing.
On another note sometimes windows does performance benchmarking and temporarily turns off aero, so if you're sitting there and it turns off for a minute then that's what's happening.

I'm just going to say that this is one of many problems which could have been fixed by a reboot.
