why is modern apple all about overcomplicating simple mechanics that have been tried and tested
I can see a reasoning behind this, and I like the concept. For function keys, now you can have either one or 50, depending on what you're using.
Of course, this is completely ignoring the existing lack of delete key and the fact that FN is the bottom leftmost key which drives me up the fucking wall every time I use a macbook. Though I suppose it's hardware that's not exactly targeted at windows so meh. Not that I'm a target audience anyways.
Can't wait for apple to call it REVOLUTIONARY. Though to be fair this would be the first mainstream actually-maybe-useful application of it.

i dont understand, context sensitive keys have existed forever, why reinvent them while taking out other useful features

Courage and Innovation
Apple is inovating themselves into a fucking grave in the eyes of most computer savvy people.
I use a macbook pro 2011 for production but After this thing dies i'm going back to windows.
Just confirms how Apple products are not meant for gaming; no F5 and F9 buttons.
