He and his buddy Josh Holz's "Damn Daniel" meme took over social media last month, landing him a lifetime supply of Vans sneakers. Aware of his good fortune, Lara is using his newfound access to Vans to help others in need. Recently, Lara and Holz visited Loma Linda University Children's Hospital in California, where they visited with patients and hooked them up with free Vans sneakers. Much respect to Daniel for using his platform to make a difference.[/QUOTE]
The future is social media. This is pretty cool to see, this whole story / virality has been a rollercoaster for sure though. Figured it'd just be a passing meme.
now i actually have a reason to say damn daniel
this meme is getting incredibly obnoxious, but I'm glad the kids involved are making good use of their popularity.
damnnnn daniel, back at it again with the philanthropy
Wish I could be a living meme. Good on the kid though for not having it go to his head.
I came back from BMT and my girlfriend and all her fucking friends say this shit to me constantly (my name is Daniel and I wear vans). Makes me fucking crazy. Nice sentiment though!
He should donate Stussy instead
I wonder how the lifetime vans thing works. Every time he requests, or a few times a month? Clearly he is getting a large supply to donate for multiple people soon after receiving this gift. But you think Vans will cut him off if he passes out the shoes? I mean, they are his, and it's his choice to do as he wants with them. But if he has an open credit for vans, and passes them out freely, you'd think vans wouldn't want that happening for too long?

Usually when they say lifetime supply, they just mean a shitload, all at once. So that's what I assume he got.
the guy is 14? damn daniel
