I've been having this problem for a couple days now and it's start to get rather annoying. I've already tried clearing the thumbnail cache and it didn't work. Tried refreshing and still not working. [t]https://i.imgur.com/KBUeZxg.png[/t] As you can see only a handful only get thumbnails while other's don't [editline]27th September 2017[/editline] Here's a picture of broken thumbnails whenever I try to upload a image to imgur [t]https://i.imgur.com/bNVAun4.png[/t]
Just a refresh.
If you've installed anything else that can do thumbnail generation it can likely be the cause of this, for example Sagethumbs or K-lite with the video thumbnails enabled. If you haven't its Windows being Windows, give Sagethumbs a try and see if it corrects it, I've had problems with the native thumbnail generation just stopping to work in the past and using a 3rd party to replace it worked out, plus gives me PSD thumbnails which is great.

I actually had sagethumbs installed when this started to happen. I thought it was Sage being funky and uninstalled it which I think just made it worse than it already was.

Also Sagethumbs wont make thumbnails on large files and what it defines as "large" is pretty small originally, but I don't think any of those images are over 100mb.

[editline]27th September 2017[/editline] At this point I'm not even sure what's causing it. Short of actually reinstalling the entire os.. I'm out of ideas.
So.. I reformatted and shit's still not working. [t]https://i.imgur.com/JdK1g1x.png[/t] [editline]1st October 2017[/editline] [t]https://i.imgur.com/sLBp35M.png[/t] Here's a list of everything that's installed
Nobody has any suggestions? Cause I just cleaned the thumbnail cache and now I'm getting this [t]https://i.imgur.com/DGCQ7LD.png[/t]
Dont reinstall your bloody OS over this, good god it should NOT be your first option. :tableflip: It always seems to be something different that causes this every time, its normally a program that tries to create thumbnails for non native file types EG: PSD etc. I spent two weeks sorting this out on a whole bunch of media machines used by a company. Know I don't know your machine because its not directly in front of me BUT, give tweaking a go if you haven't already. [URL="http://www.tweaking.com/content/page/windows_repair_all_in_one.html"]Tweaking.com [/URL] Sounds fishy, but it's a proper piece of kit that I use regularly for all sorts. Of course read the instructions and [B]DON'T[/B] skip a step. Doing a blanket repair (All) wont harm your windows install at all and if something were to go wrong you can boot up to command line and replace the registry files with the backup OR use the relevant restore points. I trust this down to a dime, it has saved my ass plenty of times were I just don't have the time to go in and find the specific problem. It's reliable.
