Where to get a good bong? - General

Hey everyone. Title kind of says it all. I want a good quality waterbong ranging anywhere from $50-$100 I don't want any bullshit bongs. I want my first one to be legit, glass and hits really nice. I have a piece but I am getting into bongs lol I tried going to grass city but their fucking shipping is ridiculous! Their prices are unfair as well. this may help you, but not for your budget aqualabtechnologies.com highpriorityglass.com headyglass.com bitfreakglass.com this is scientific glass, means most of the stuff has thicker tubes and has reinforced joints made by artists, not china. you can find something decent if you save up an extra 50$ or so.

I really can't thank enough. <3[/QUOTE] Honestly aqualab is a bit overpriced highpriority has a great selection of artists, had some buddies buy a ben wilson off there (personal favorite probably) headyglass is good shit, but not much there bitfreak is great, has a ton of accessories for your bongs, and the guy is really cool even though the website looks sketchy he posts on another forum where you can ask for a 10 dollar or so discount (MAYBE) I know some other sites if you want to know, just PM me though. SYN tubes are really nice budget tubes, they have some for around $140. Check out sheldon black on bitfreakglass (good selection of his stuff), hes the dude that made RooR tubes for a while before they shut down one of the warehouses You can also get a GonG bubbler (dont knock it just cause it aint a BONG) my buddy got the ben wilson 6arm bubbler, and that thing RIPS.

I'd honestly just recommend you find a friend who's 18 to go to a head shop and buy it for you. I mean, there are some nice pieces online, but if you want a nice, cheap bong you really would have to check out the local head shops. My friend was able to get a really nice bong, that hits like a fucking champ for $105 from a local head shop.

A good size is 8" - 16". Anything larger is unnecessary imo. Get a glass-on-glass bong. This means all the pieces fit perfectly together. This is a standard in laboratory equipment and it should be for your water pipes too. An ice catcher is always good, but you don't have to use it all the time. Don't get something with a bunch of in-line percolator trees. I had a bong with 2 6-arm percs and the first time it fell over on the carpet they all broke on the inside. Make sure the hole at the end of the downstem isn't too small, or make sure it has multiple slits or holes. IMO drag isn't a big deal. I'd rather pull harder for a smoother hit. The BIGGEST thing to consider in a bong is how it will break. All bongs break. Find something that isn't too big so it is less likely to get knocked over and has less weight so if it does fall it doesn't break. Addons like ash catchers are just a huge risk of breakage. If you want extra filtration, get a carbon filter. This is a tiny little adapter that goes in between your bowl and downstem, and you fill it with carbon pellets. It's tiny so it won't break, and you will notice a massive increase in how smooth the hits are. [editline]30th June 2012[/editline] Another thing to consider is how much water it holds. If the bong holds less water, then it will get dirtier much faster. A beaker base is very good because it holds a lot of water and is very bottom heavy, so it prevents the bong from tipping over.

Fadangling with the glass like this is an added risk for breakage. drag is a big deal, you don't want to have to use up all your lung capacity in order to get the smoke from the bong to your lungs. You want something that clears with ease.
