My laptop's on life support ( both fans are dead and I'm using a tower fan to keep it from over heating ), and I'm looking into getting something new because the thing's not worth replacing being it's snail slow. I want a decent( not incredible ) gaming rig and I need opinions as to what I can get for best price. I'd say 600$ is definitely my limit right now. Which of these 3 is a good package deal? If you know a better option please reccomend it.

do you need a monitor?
Out of those choices I guess number 2 would be your best bet.
If you see no alternative, such as building it yourself, go with this.
You should really build it yourself.
It's easy as hell. If it doesn't fit, it doesn't go there. So long as you don't force anything, you should be fine. http://www.pcityourself.com/building/introduction.php

With mail in rebates, it's only $50 over budget (assuming you have a dvd drive somewhere), and is nearly twice as powerful.

Seems like a good setup. I've never built one. I've been educating myself more on software than hardware. So you'd forsure recommend these parts? I doubt the case I have is big enough so I might get that one, and the Windows 7 copy... Well I have a way of getting that. So it may be under budget? Unfortunately my DVD drive is pretty old. It's operational but how do I tell if it's compatable?

Not to derail but you might wanna check out the WOT reviews for that site:

Yeah, I'd recommend those parts. The dvd drive should be fine as long as it's sata (or at least ATA), it should be fine. If you're worried though, you can just pick up a cheap read/write drive. Shouldn't cost more than $20/30.

They were getting malicious advertising for a while, yeah. Avast free, AVG free, and nod32 haven't had an issue with the site for a while, so I'd assume it's safe now.
If it makes someone feel better I could just copy the text and have links to their youtube videos.

Why not change the 965 for a 955, the performance increase ain't worth the money, and you can easily overclock it to 965 speeds.

Whoops. I didn't notice that.
OP, here, same deal except the 965 is replaced with the 955.
