I have an Intel Core2 Quad @ 2.4 which I'm pretty sure is being bottle necked by my Nvidia 8800 GTX.
How much good would I get out of upgrading? I don't want to upgrade to a videocard that is going to be bottle necked by my processor, so what do you guys think would be an equivalent video card? I haven't kept up with video card technology and I'm just totally lost.
Not really, you're better off buying a new pc
Or try and get that C2Q up to like 3.6 Ghz (assuming its a Q6600 as that's the only? one that is stock at 2.4) and get a 460 or something. Will yield 30-60 fps in BF3 on medium high.
buy bulldozer, can't beat the 8.4ghz

Don't listen to him, Bulldozer underperformed massively compared to expectations.

Bulldozer is a joke and the clock speed isn't the only thing that matters. Good overclocker =/= good processor.

You're dumber than a sack of potatoes with diarrhea drizzled on top. A processor from an early 2000s Nokia brick is faster than bulldozer you dumb waffle
